Because becoming the undisputed leader in food means surrounding ourselves with people who are hungry for what’s next.​ OVERVIEWBuilding Engineers will operate and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on commercial equipment and large building systems such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, lighting, HVAC/R, Chilled Water Systems, Boilers, Air Handling Units, Rooftop Units, Building Automation Systems, Fire System Controls and other building systems to ensure optimal conditions.This role is a 2nd shift opportunity at our James Ford Bell Technical Center in Golden Valley, MN. This role provides the candidate the opportunity to work 4 - 10-hour shifts (Tuesday-Friday) or 5 - 8-hour shifts (Monday-Friday). KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESEnsure facility is in a safe operating condition; conduct preventative and reactive maintenance; and resolve immediate operational and building safety concernsRegularly inspect and conduct preventive tests to ensure proper working condition of equipment and overall operational infrastructureTroubleshoot, diagnose, and repair or replace failuresCoordinate maintenance work provided by vendor partners; both for equipment warranty, preventive and corrective work; inspect completed repairs to ensure proper operationSupport or lead special projects related to improvement of building operations and efficienciesHVAC troubleshooting and preventative maintenance DDC trouble shooting and repairRefrigeration troubleshooting and system repairsBasic knowledge and use of Building Automation for equipment monitoring and controlsBasic plumbing knowledge with ability to complete repairs such as plumbing fixture, drain maintenance, and valve repair/replacementInspection and Maintenance of café/kitchen equipmentManage vendors and maintenance of elevators, fire life safety devices, UPS and other systemsAccess Door and Overhead Door repair/adjustmentObtain and compare estimates for work to be performed by outside vendorsEnsure that all customer complaints are handled professionally and in a timely mannerOther duties and responsibilities as assignedMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSCompletion of HVAC/R or Facilities Maintenance program from accredited school2 years’ experience in facilities/maintenance role or similar work on HVAC/refrigeration equipmentUniversal CFC CertificationBasic computer proficiency (Word, Outlook, Smartphone)Independent and collaborative work, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work at heights using ladders or similar toolsAbility to lift, push, pull or move a minimum of 50 poundsSpecific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focusAbility to work under pressure and time deadlines Participate in On-Call rotation schedule as assignedPREFRRED QUALIFICATIONSMaintenance Electrician License2nd Class C Minnesota State Boiler LicenseKnowledge of work order process or management toolADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONSInternational relocation or international remote working arrangements will not be considered.Applicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis.
