Because becoming the undisputed leader in food means surrounding ourselves with people who are hungry for what’s next.​ OVERVIEWThe Human Resources Representative is a strategic business partner that will have responsibilities for leading key HR initiatives, providing safety/training and development, and policy execution for all levels of the facility. The position will also have direct responsibility for leading payroll, disability processes, managing the plant’s uniform vendor and overseeing the HRIS process.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIESAdminister annual compensation changes and employee reward/incentive paymentsAdminister and lead FMLA, Disability and Leaves of Absence cases in partnership with the General Mills Disability Center. Serve as a local subject matter expert for leave processes.Manage and lead the Internal Job Bidding process.Manage and support employee orientationSupport annual HR processes including Affirmative Action Planning, Benefits Open Enrollment, Data Validation, Engagement Survey Administration, and other initiatives.Maintain employee personnel files and documentation in compliance with Global Internal Audit standards.Provide day-to-day HR customer service to all plant employees, including researching and resolving questions or issues.Provide support to Plant HR TeamManage and support employee retirement prep/celebrations, separations, checklists, and unemployment claim administration.Provide leadership for HR process improvements.Support other duties, plant and function initiatives as neededLead and coordinate safety and training and development initiativesFoster a strong working partnership with all functions to support plant objectives.Develop short- and long-term strategies to drive organizational effectiveness, productivity, and improvements in key metrics.Create an environment where all employees are encouraged & developed to reach their full potential.Model Kansas City plant values.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh School EducationProven experience in HR working with all levels of the organizationStrong positive employee relations skillsStrong leadership skills including the ability to implement change and resolve conflictAbility to create and lead strategic initiativesDemonstrated understanding of fundamental HR competencies.Good analytical and business judgment including demonstrated problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills.Strong technical skills with proficiency in Microsoft based applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Access), Visio, and SharePoint; with a willingness to learn and master other software programs as neededStrong organizational and prioritization skills with a focus on attention to detail and accuracy.Strong analytical, quantitative, and critical thinking skills – ability to prepare and analyze HR reports, translate data into recommendations and take appropriate action to achieve desired business results.Ability to lead and manage projects independentlyPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSAssociate or BA/BS Degree PreferredExperience working in a manufacturing environmentExcellent interpersonal, communication and listening skillsAbility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting work priorities, ambiguity, adversity, and changeExperience in Workday and WorkbrainDemonstrated understanding of technology and ability to create solutions to technical challengesStrong conceptual skills and ability to implement changeSound analytical and business judgment including demonstrated problem-solving and trouble-shooting skillsAbility to plan, lead, and execute strategic initiatives in a complex environmentMature approach to challenging situations and environmentsADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONSInternational relocation or international remote working arrangements (outside of the US) will not be consideredApplicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
