Our plant is unique in that we have two product platforms: flour and dry mixes. The flour we produce is integrated into our Betty Crocker mixes. We are a small plant with a great culture where you will get to know the people you work with. Fun facts about Avon are that we produce an average of 1.1 million pounds of flour a day and about 100 million Betty Crocker pouches a year. When making our chocolate chip cookie mix, around 2000 pounds of chocolate is added per hour to the packaging line!What We Have to Offer$26.73 per hour starting pay$0.50 per hour additional pay for 2nd shift and 3rd shift)Premium pay opportunities, including overtime after 8 hours (1.5x), Saturday hours (1.5x), and Sunday hours (2x/double time)Great paid time off benefits (includes vacation, sick time and holidays)401(k) with company matchPensionBonus Incentive ProgramHealth Insurance (includes medical, dental, vision and life)Career growth and cross-training opportunitiesYour Work Schedule and Shift Information8-hour shifts (Monday through Friday)2nd Shift: 3 pm to 11 pm3rd shift: 11 pm to 7 amRegular Monday through Friday schedule; weekend work may be required to support business needsCurrently hiring for 2nd and/or 3rd shift (dependent upon business need)Ability and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, including 4 hours prior to or over scheduled shift (when needed)Plant operation is 24 hours a day, 7 days a weekKEY ACCOUNTABILITIESAs part of our manufacturing team, you will:Be responsible for packaging and processing operationsBe responsible for maintaining inventory, lot tracking, product rate transfer and required documentation of flour ingredients/additivesMonitor and maintain systems to maximize operational performance and equipment efficiencyTroubleshoot problems with equipmentPerform sanitation, cleaning and maintaining all areas of millParticipate in startup, changeover, and shut down of operating equipmentParticipate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performanceAssist in training new employees​MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSMinimum of a high school diploma or GEDMechanical and/or technical experience in a manufacturing or related industryPrior milling experience is strongly preferredBasic computer skills with the ability to use digital tools and systems to complete daily work tasksMust possess the ability to understand and effectively communicate with co-workers, supervisors, and others in the workplace regarding work matters (our business is generally conducted in English)Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, push, pull, and twist for extended periodsWillingness to work in hot, cold, noisy, wet, or dusty conditionsAbility to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platformsAbility to follow human and food safety, quality, and grooming standardsAbility to wear such as protective clothing and equipment (Personal Protective Equipment -PPE) such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard/bump cap, hair/beard net, gloves, and face masks (when required)Ability to work around high-speed machinery and food allergens ELIGIBILITYApplicants must meet a minimum 18-year age qualification. Required Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for packaging and processing operations
  • Be responsible for maintaining inventory, lot tracking, product rate transfer and required documentation of flour ingredients/additives
  • Monitor and maintain systems to maximize operational performance and equipment efficiency
  • Troubleshoot problems with equipment
  • Perform sanitation, cleaning and maintaining all areas of mill
  • Participate in startup, changeover, and shut down of operating equipment
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance
  • Assist in training new employees​
