Job DescriptionWork ArrangementThis role is categorized as on-site. The successful candidate is expected to report to the Advanced Technical Center full time.The Role -Leader responsible for leading a team that creates models by developing aesthetic surfaces which meet challenging time and quality requirements as directed by Sculpting Leadership for assigned programs throughout the GVDP. Work as a leader of people, collaborating with Design and Engineering stakeholders and supportive studio personnel. Manage to established modeling best practices and procedures with ownership of the execution of property plans. Oversight responsibility and development of resources who interpret and translate design input into 3D models and have insight into current and future product technology.What You’ll DoLeads a team comprised of internal employees and contractors who create digital models which develop vehicle production programs as defined throughout the Global Vehicle Development Process, and advanced projects with focus on creativity and quick ideationDeliver criteria compliant math surface to enable engineering executionProvide leadership to ensure sculpting deliverables meet Design and Engineering’s quality and timing requirementsManage the working relationship with multiple regions and studios to create an overall balanced workplace culture, while optimizing resource allocation across all customers of Global DesignIntegrates teams: Engineering, Manufacturing, Design and Program while driving execution of GVDP deliverablesEnsures a skilled, capable workforce. Leads recruitment and creates hiring strategies and talent attraction. Constructs a retention plan for the organization. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree for Automotive Design, Industrial Design or etc., (degree in automotive design)
  • 8+ years digital sculpting experience, ideally leading programs (experience, 8 years)
  • 3+ years of experience managing a sculpting team handling multiple programs, with a track record of delivering complex global projects on time and with high quality (experience, 3 years)

Responsibilities
