Job DescriptionWork Arrangement:This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Austin, TX three times per week. The RoleWe are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the team that is revolutionizing the automotive retail experience by building high-performance, customer-centric digital storefronts for GM's global vehicle commerce platform.You will design and develop scalable, accessible, and reusable UI components using TypeScript, React/Next.js, and SolidJS web components, powering seamless vehicle configuration, option/packages selection, and build-and-price experiences across devices and markets. You'll work within a micro frontend architecture using a monorepo, contribute to our internal design system, and drive innovation through behavior analytics, accessibility best practices, and performance optimization.A core focus of this role is Automation, AI Enablement, and Modernization — you will champion AI-assisted development practices, automate repetitive workflows, and continuously modernize the frontend stack to keep pace with evolving web standards and tooling.This role requires strong technical depth in modern frontend engineering, a solid understanding of distributed and event-driven systems, and the ability to deliver high-quality, maintainable solutions at global scale.
