As London’s first private JAG accredited centre for gastrointestinal endoscopy, the department is recognised for delivering high standards of patient care and clinical practice. With 12 purpose built recovery bays and access to advanced endoscopic technology, the service supports the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of conditions affecting the digestive system. Working across a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, you’ll collaborate closely with Consultants, colorectal clinical nurse specialists and experienced endoscopy colleagues. Let us care for you and your career, the same way you do for others.What you’ll do:Assist Consultants during a range of endoscopic procedures, ensuring safe and effective patient care.Monitor, record and interpret patient observations throughout the patient pathway.Participate in the Endoscopy on call rota and respond appropriately to clinical requirements.Support patients and colleagues, escalating concerns to the Nurse in Charge when required.Contribute to the effective management of resources and the smooth day to day running of the department.What you’ll bring:Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner qualification.Current NMC or HCPC registration.Endoscopy experience, including an ENB qualification or equivalent endoscopy practice experience.Knowledge of relevant healthcare policies, procedures and health and safety requirements.Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a busy and changing clinical environment.Why HCA UK?Originally founded over 50 years ago by Dr Thomas Frist, HCA has gone on to become one of the world's leading healthcare providers.
