You will prepare layout, detailed drawings, and schematics using computer assisted engineering design software and Cadence Allegro tools while defining efficient design guidelines, specifications, and best-known design methods.This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-density designs that directly influence NPO and Intel's strategic objectives. You will collaborate across engineering domains, including electrical design, packaging, manufacturing, thermal, and mechanical teams to drive impactful results. Your expertise will ensure high-quality PCB designs from feasibility studies to board tape-out, meeting multi-disciplinary platform-level requirements.Primary Responsibilities:PCB Layout Engineering/Expert:Design and implementation of PCB layouts for all board types including rigid and flexible circuitsCAD tools and utilities management and optimizationDFx/TO package generation and documentationPCB/PB issue resolution and troubleshootingPart Library Management:Schematic and layout component creation and maintenanceNew component review documentation creation and approval processesLibrary and component issue resolution and quality assuranceContractor Management:Quote and PO creation and management for external PCB design resourcesContractor workload distribution and capacity planningContractor issue resolution and performance managementLicense Management:Plan and manage NPO software license needs and requirementsLicense issue resolution and optimizationAdditional Technical Responsibilities:Apply knowledge of high density-high speed, mixed, analog, digital, RF designs to deliver end-to-end PCB design flowDefine component placement and trace routing rules for components and circuitsInterface with signal and power integrity teams to achieve high-quality PCB designsProvide guidance on vendor fabrication capabilities and optimize designs for low cost and high reliabilityManage PCB documentation and final design packages for PCB fabricationThe successful candidate must demonstrate the following:Expertise in PCB layout design tools and methodologiesStrong technical problem-solving skills and attention to detailExceptional leadership skills to influence cross-functional teamsAdvanced written and verbal communication skillsSkills to build and strengthen partnerships with internal teams and external contractorsProactive approach to process improvement and innovationDisciplined project management and resourcefulnessAbility to achieve consistent results with minimal guidanceQualifications:6+ years of experience in PCB layout design and CAD engineering with a Bachelor's degree, or 4+ years with a Master's degreeProficiency in Cadence PCB design tools.
