Business Analyst – Identity & Access Management (IAM)Job OverviewAs a member of IQVIA’s Identity and Access Management (IAM) team, the Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and managing requirements that support the delivery of IQVIA’s enterprise information security solutions and capabilities. This role plays a critical part in ensuring IAM solutions meet business, security, and regulatory requirements across a global enterprise.IQVIA’s information security landscape includes a combination of custom‑built solutions, SaaS and cloud services, and commercial off‑the‑shelf (COTS) products. The Business Analyst will collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including application teams, information security partners, engineering teams, and external vendors, to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements. Key ResponsibilitiesElicit, analyze, and document functional and non‑functional requirements for IAM platforms and services, from intake through delivery and sign‑offLead requirements discovery sessions, stakeholder reviews, and walkthroughs to validate scope, assumptions, and acceptance criteriaResearch and document security, compliance, and regulatory requirements, ensuring alignment with industry standards and internal policiesAuthor detailed user stories, use cases, and process flows, including success paths, exception handling, and failure scenariosManage requirements throughout the lifecycle, including traceability, prioritization, change control, and approvalPartner closely with engineering, QA, and operations teams throughout the SDLC to support design, build, testing, and release activitiesSupport application onboarding and integration efforts for IAM services such as authentication, authorization, and provisioningMaintain clear documentation in tools such as Confluence and Jira, ensuring requirements and decisions are well‑recorded and audit‑readyAct as a trusted IAM advisor to business and technical stakeholders across the enterprise Required Skills & QualificationsCore SkillsStrong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skills, with the ability to clearly communicate security and technical concepts to diverse audiencesProven experience researching, authoring, and managing complex requirements end‑to‑endAbility to create detailed documentation, diagrams, and process flows that clearly articulate business and technical needsExcellent written and verbal communication skills with a service‑oriented mindsetIAM & Security KnowledgeWorking knowledge of IAM concepts, including:Single Sign‑On (SSO)Multi‑Factor Authentication (MFA)Identity federationUser provisioning and lifecycle managementApplication onboardingPrivileged Access Management (PAM)Coarse‑grained authorization modelsAbility to research and apply information and data security requirements aligned to standards such as OWASP, SOX, NIST, GDPR, and GxP (deep prior expertise not required, but ability to interpret and apply standards is essential)Technical & Tooling ExperienceExperience with system or software development lifecycles (SDLC), including requirements, design, testing, and releaseFamiliarity with cloud environments and cloud security conceptsExperience with tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Confluence, and Jira (TestRail experience strongly preferred)Experience with IAM platforms such as Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), Azure AD B2C, WSO2 Identity Server, and SailPoint IdentityIQ is highly desirable Preferred AttributesStrong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneouslyAttention to detail where required, balanced with the ability to focus on overall outcomes and deliveryComfortable working in a global, matrixed organization and engaging with senior stakeholdersAbility to represent IAM services, processes, and capabilities professionally across the enterprise Why Join IQVIA IAMYou will be part of a strategic IAM organization enabling secure business growth across IQVIA’s global platforms and products.
