Job Description

Job Overview:Under broad guidance, the Senior Software QA Engineer executes and verifies software application tests to ensure high-quality delivery of healthcare technology solutions. This role emphasizes risk assessment, QA documentation, and continuous improvement of testing methodologies in an Agile environment.Job Responsibilities:Requirements Analysis: Analyse business and functional requirements for completeness and derive comprehensive test cases.Test Planning: Define and maintain master test plans outlining overall testing strategy.Test Case Design & Execution: Design, develop, and execute test cases, test scripts, and scenarios based on application requirements.Manual & Automated Testing: Perform both manual and automated testing to validate functionality, usability, and reliability.Defect Management: Identify, document, track, and manage defects; collaborate with development teams for resolution.Validation & Documentation: Execute test scripts, document validation results, and maintain QA artifacts (test plans, execution reports).Test Results Analysis: Analyze test outcomes, provide insights, highlight risks, and report quality metrics.Risk Assessment: Conduct risk evaluations during test cycles and document lessons learned post:release.Quality Assurance: Ensure systems meet organizational quality standards and userCross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders.Communication of Outcomes: Effectively communicate test results, risks, and issues to internal teams and management.Process Improvement: Continuously improve QA processes, methodologies, and testing practices.Required Experience and Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)4+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testingStrong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologiesHands-on experience in designing test plans, test cases, and executing test strategiesExperience with test management and defect tracking toolsProven ability to analyze requirements and identify gaps or inconsistenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and isolate defectsExperience with automated testing frameworks and toolsProficiency in API testing methodologiesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality softwareCore Technical SkillsManual Testing: Designing and executing test cases, validating functionality and usability.API Testing: Using tools such as Postman or SoapUI to validate APIs.Performance Testing: Familiarity with JMeter or LoadRunner.Defect Tracking Tools: Proficiency with Jira or similar platforms.Test Management Tools: Hands:on with tools like TestRail, Zephyr, or HP ALM.SQL and Databases: Writing queries for data validation and backend testing.Process & Methodology Skills scripting.Agile Methodology: Working in Scrum/Kanban environments, participating in sprint planning and retrospectives.SDLC Knowledge: Understanding software development stages and QA’s role in each.Requirements Analysis: Ability to interpret business/functional requirements andRisk Assessment: Identifying potential quality risks during test cycles.QA Documentation: Creating test plans, execution reports, and maintaining test artifacts.Bonus (Good to Have)Exposure to security testing practicesFamiliarity with programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#Experience working in the healthcare domain, especially with US healthcare systemsKnowledge of healthcare regulations such as HIPAAExperience with healthcare claims or payment processing systemsExperience with frameworks/tools like Selenium, Cypress, or similar.IQVIA is a leading global provider of clinical research services, commercial insights and healthcare intelligence to the life sciences and healthcare industries. Required Qualifications
