Job Description

Position Overview:The Study Grants / Clinical Trail Cost Expert is responsible for conducting Grant Plan and Fair Market Value (FMV) assessments for all Globally, Locally, and Regionally Supported Clinical Trials, Investigator Initiated Trials (IITs), and Research Collaborations (RCs). This role is integral in ensuring accurate budget forecasting and accelerating site contracting processes.Accountabilities:Grant Plan & Fair Market Value (FMV) Assessments:Lead the translation of clinical protocol assessments into Grant Plans and FMV cost estimationsDevelop FMV/Grant Plan Investigator FeesResolve FMV queriesEnsure compliance with regulatory guidelines and industry standards in determining FMVBudget Forecasting:Provide accurate cost estimations, ensuring clinical operational and scientific requirements are reflected with accuracyImprove Grant Plan estimates and reduce need for revisionsIdentify cost savings utilizing cost data for estimationsCollaborate with Early Pricing Team to contribute to overall budget developmentMaintaining accurate forecasting toolsCross-functional collaboration:Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure alignment with study objectives and budget constraintscollaborate with various leads to identify clinical/operational issuesPartner closely with teams to improve trial forecast managementProvide feedback on study protocol impactsQualifications:BSc / Msc degree in Life ScienceKnowledge and ability to apply ICH GCP and applicable regulatory guidelinesRelevant sponsor or clinical research organization clinical experience with country-level or site-level budget development, including awareness of clinical trial contract managementExperience with interpretation of clinical trials protocol assessments, budget negotiationsStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, pricing management tools and databases (e.g. GrantPlan, Grants Manager)Understanding of Fair Market Value concept and principlesKnowledge of budget forecasting and financial analysis.Proven ability to exercise independent judgment, taking calculated risks when making decisions.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work effectively in a global and cross-functional team environment.IQVIA is a leading global provider of clinical research services, commercial insights, and healthcare intelligence to the life sciences and healthcare industries.
