Job Title:Installation Technician IDepartment:OperationsCountry:United States of AmericaState/Province:TexasCity:Grand PrairieFull/Part Time:Full timeJob Summary:Under close supervision, this position is responsible for the assembly and installation of products while providing a safe, efficient, and courteous delivery to our customers. Assist in helping load and unload items and maintain cleanliness of assigned vehicle and installation site. The incumbent must be able to work any shift to satisfy the demand for flexibility in scheduling to ensure operational success. This includes but is not limited to day, night, and/or weekend shifts.Job Description:Key Responsibilities:Help assemble and install products for all customers and manufacturers within a home location or job siteProperly assemble products per manufacturer's specifications, test for proper functionality and load, unload, and install safely, according to local codes and standards without damage to the product or customer locationIdentify and resolve any issues in a professional and effective manner to ensure a positive outcomeInteract with coworkers/customers in a professional and fast-paced environment to ensure customer needs are met while building a strong working relationship with a positive attitudeUnderstand and promote all JBHT safety requirements including the required use of personal protective equipment to ensure the safety of self and co-workers; adhere to safety policies and procedures to ensure the job site is safe for product installation and free from hazards and obstructions that could endanger workers or damage the delivery siteAssist with project execution through effective communication to improve operational efficiency and profitabilityMay travel up to 50% of the timeQualifications:Minimum Qualifications: 18 years of ageAbility to work outdoors, in the elements, or across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if neededPreferred Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED with 1-2 years experience in installing appliances, manual or physical labor, construction site preferred, and/or military equivalent experiencePossess a valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record that meets J.B. Hunt standards.Ability to fulfill physical requirements (lift/move product up to 100 pounds or greater)Ability to wear appropriate work attire (bump cap, footwear-steel toed shoes, gloves, safety vest)Customer service skillsExperience in material handlingExperience installing large, bulky equipmentWillingness to work flexible workdays and hoursExperience utilizing hand and power tools Shift: Mon-Fri 6AM-2:30PM or until the job is completeCompetitive hourly compensation of $20.25 with annual earning potential of $42,000+ based on a 40-hour work week, before overtime opportunities.This position is not eligible for employment-based sponsorship.Compensation:Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
