What this job involves - The HSSE Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing environmental health and safety programs. The goal of this role is to ensure that thecompany complies with all relevant regulations and that its employees and the environment are protected from hazardous conditions.The HSSE Specialist will be a cornerstone of our commitment “Working Safely as One JLL”. This role will be an educator and an innovator, driving a “Safety First” culture across the account. Responsibilities:Develop and implement environmental health and safety policies and proceduresConduct comprehensive site audits and inspections, focusing on high-risk areas including Electrical Safety, Fall Protection, and Confined Space.Provide training on environmental health and safety topics to employeesLead investigations for any near-misses or accidents, identifying root causes and implementing robust corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Maintain and analyze HSSE metrics, providing actionable insights to account leadership to drive continuous improvement.Work with management to identify and mitigate environmental health and safety risksEnsure the account stays 100% compliant with all environmental health and safety regulations and JLL Global Standards.Act as a champion for JLL’s Global Safety Week and year-round safety initiatives, fostering high engagement through creative training and communication.Qualifications:Bachelor degree in environmental science, occupational safety and health, or a related field, or experience commensurate with the role.Certification preferred: CHST, ASP, CSP, CIH3-5 years of experience in environmental health and safety. Preferably within Facilities Management or similar field industry.Strong understanding of environmental health and safety regulationsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsProficiency in data analysis and HSSE management software.Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.Estimated compensation for this position:87,100.00 – 114,400.00 USD per yearThis range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ.
