The role will drive working capital improvement, process standardization, and governance, while partnering with global stakeholders across Finance, Sales, and Operations.What you till do1. End-to-End OTC Operations Leadership • Lead the full OTC lifecycle including: o Customer master data governance o Order management and invoicing o Credit management o Collections and dispute resolution o Cash application and reconciliation • Ensure adherence to standardized global processes across UK & US customer portfolios2. Working Capital & AR Management • Drive DSO reduction, overdue collections, and cash flow optimization • Conduct regular reviews of: o Aged receivables o Bad debt provisions o Collection effectiveness metrics • Implement structured escalation mechanisms for delinquent accounts3. Controls, Compliance & SOX Governance • Ensure strong internal controls across OTC processes: o Segregation of duties (SoD) o Approval workflows for pricing, credit notes, and master data changes o Audit trails and documentation • Own audit readiness for internal/external audits and remediation of control gaps4. Stakeholder Management (UK & US) • Act as primary finance partner to: o UK & US business leaders o Sales, Operations, and Customer Success teams • Align on billing accuracy, dispute resolution, and customer experience improvements • Provide regular reporting and insights to global finance leadership 5. Process Transformation & Optimization • Drive continuous improvement initiatives including: o Automation (billing, cash application, collections tools) o ERP optimization (Sage Intact) o Standardization of global OTC processes • Lead transitions / migrations6. Team Leadership & Capability Building • Build and lead a high-performing India-based OTC team • Define clear roles, KPIs, and performance metrics • Drive capability development across collections, billing, and analytics • Foster a culture of accountability, quality, and customer orientation7. Revenue Assurance & Reporting • Ensure accurate revenue recognition in line with accounting standards • Partner with FP&A and controllership on: o Month-end close o Revenue reporting o Variance analysis • Maintain robust reconciliation between sub-ledger (AR) and GLKey Performance Indicators (KPIs) • DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) • % Overdue AR / Aging profile • Cash collection vs target • Billing accuracy / First-pass yield • Dispute resolution cycle time • Audit findings / control effectivenessSkills & Qualifications Education & Experience • CA (Mandatory)• 8–12+ years of experience in OTC / AR / Finance Operations • Proven experience managing global OTC operations (US / UK markets preferred) • Experience in Shared Services / Global Capability Centers (GCC) Functional Competencies • Strong knowledge of: o Order-to-Cash cycle o Revenue recognition o SOX / internal controls • Strong data analytics and reporting capability Leadership & Behavioral Skills • Strong stakeholder management (global teams) • Ability to drive transformation and change • Strong communication and executive presence Preferred Experience • Experience in transitioning OTC operations to India • Exposure to digital / SaaS / recurring revenue models Reporting Line • Reports to: Finance Director • Direct Reports: AR, Billing, Collections, Cash Application teams Location • Commerzone Office (Yerwada, Pune )India, supporting UK & US time zonesJohnson Controls is an equal employment opportunity and affirmative action employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, protected veteran status, status as a qualified individual with a disability, or any other characteristic protected by law.
