What you will doYou will be responsible for the management of the quality inspectors and leads, overseeing direct examination of products to ensure that quality standards and procedures are met and aligned with legislation, applicable code, and customer specifications. Requiring a high level of attention to detail and technical expertise, you will also be responsible for ensuring strict adherence to the organization's quality assurance policies.How you will do itSupport and direct Quality Inspectors and Leads.Identify and ensure NCR reports are followed up for remediation, including contacting and engaging internal purchasers and external suppliers.Train, coach, manage the performance of, and schedule assigned staff.Oversee inspections, reporting, documentation, and troubleshooting.In conjunction with the QC Manager, perform internal QA audits that are compliant with corporate policies, practices, and procedures.Support and report all data information to management.Assist with the maintenance of QA monitoring programs, including audits, controls, and other qualifiers.Support new product development and continuous improvement and integrating quality control tools (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) into processes.Promote and advocate quality achievement and performance improvement across the organization.Ensure ongoing compliance with local, national, and international standards, codes, and legislation.Adopt and incorporate quality methods into their work.Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects and oversee and/or implement corrective actions.Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance, and repair techniques.Perform all duties in accordance with Silent-Aire Limited Partnership safety program standards and Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Code.Other duties as required.What we look forRequired:5+ years related quality supervisory experiencePost-secondary education related to quality managementAbility to work independently in a busy environmentExperience with routine maintenance operations.Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environmentAble to effectively communicate both verbally and in writingAble to work well under pressureStrong attention to detailAble to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all timesComputer literacy - Microsoft Office, web browser, email, etc.Silent-Aire, a division of Johnson Controls, is a global leader in owner equipment manufacturing (OEM) dedicated to providing custom solutions for data center customers.
