We empower our people with opportunities for professional growth, meaningful work, and a supportive environment that values well-being.In this role, you will support retail customers by installing and repairing Inventory Control and Video equipment with a focus on safe, reliable service and strong customer outcomes.Role OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Installation and Service Technician to work across retail environments in Northern Louisiana and central-south Arkansas, handling installation, repair, and service support for electronic article surveillance systems (EAS), Inventory Control (RFID) and Video equipment (CCTV). Success in this role comes from technical accuracy, customer collaboration, and a commitment to continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall and repair EAS, RFID and CCTV equipment in retail environments.Respond to service calls efficiently and maintain accurate records of work performed.Work directly with customers and team members to resolve issues promptly and provide equipment training.Maintain an accurate parts inventory to support first-time fixes and efficient service delivery driving customer SLA’s.Report customer satisfaction updates and any service or sales opportunities identified during visits to management.Support safe, effective field work while representing Johnson Controls professionally at customer sites.Responsibly operate company vehicle to and from service calls and keep the company vehicle clean and organizedHow You Will Do ItOwn every installation and repair with accountability, safety, and integrity, making sure the work is completed correctly and effectively.Focus on what matters most at the customer site by managing service calls efficiently, staying organized, and removing avoidable delays.Work closely with customers and teammates to solve problems quickly and provide clear guidance on equipment use.Improve every day by applying training, certifications, and feedback to strengthen service quality and customer support.Win as one team by sharing information with management, supporting collaboration, and contributing to a trusted team environment.Use accurate documentation and disciplined parts management to help drive first-time fixes and dependable service outcomes.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GEDMust be able to pass state and federal background check to obtain state required low voltage license in Louisiana and Arkansas.Proficiency in electronics and networking fundamentals.Strong written and oral communication skills.Proficiency in MS Office and basic PC skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Physical ability to carry and move equipment up to 70 lbs and work in challenging positions such as climbing ladders or working within ducts.Nice to HaveAssociates degree in electronics preferred - can be substituted for a formulized training program from a technical college, university, or military equivalent.
