Job DescriptionOverviewSilent-Aire Limited Partnership is a wholly owned subsidiary of Johnson Controls. Silent-Aire is a technology driven company that designs, engineers and manufactures hyperscale cooling and modular data center solutionsThis position will be on rotating day shift from 6AM-6PM (including weekends).Work ExperienceThe individuals should possess the following work experiences-Possess related work experience on robotic welding applications (recommended)Apprenticeship program (advanced)Operating mechanized or robotic welding equipment experienceWelding aluminum with the GMAW process experienceadditive manufacturing software packages experienceArc additive processes experienceDuties/ResponsibilitiesCandidates require to perform the following responsibilities-Apply the basic welding principles, symbols, and blueprintsAssist the team in plant/department goals achievementCheck completed parts to ensure compliance with required standardsCreate robotic welding programs and modify existing onesDevelop new additive manufacturing proceduresFinish the parts with various hand toolsIdentify/perform correct robotic welding parameters, procedures, and programsMaintain/repair robotic and welding equipmentMake recommendations on general part designsOperate/observe robots to detect malfunctions or nonconformanceOptimize laser/robotic welding parametersPerform excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsPerform MIG welding operations (simple to moderate)Study prints/instructions to review dimensions and tolerancesUse a measuring tape and variable gaugesAbilities/SkillsAble to maintain work area clean and organizedBasic knowledge of automated machinery/systemsBe an analytical thinker with the ability to solve problemsBlueprints/drawings interpretation skillsFollow all environmental and health safety rules/regulationsHave good judgment/problem-solving skillsKnowledge of basic shop mathMaintain equipment and perform housekeeping duties on a daily basePossess proficient computer skillsTechnology changes adaptabilityVerbal/written communication skillsWindows-based operating systems/programs knowledgeWork both independently and as part of a teamWork EnvironmentNormally, work in shops or manufacturing environmentsSometimes, they have field or travel opportunities alsoPhysical RequirementsRequired frequent stooping, bending, lifting, and reachingLift parts up to 50 pounds occasionally, and up to 25 pounds frequentlyJohnson Controls’ Canadian subsidiaries are committed to providing reasonable accommodation to applicants, candidates and employees with disabilities, in accordance with applicable human rights legislation, and in Ontario, in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (“AODA”).
