About the RoleWe’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Metering Technician to join our offshore team, ensuring the accuracy, reliability and compliance of our fiscal, allocation and environmental metering systems. You’ll play a key role in maintaining system integrity through preventative and corrective maintenance, supporting operations, and driving continuous improvement across our metering assets.This is a hands‑on, technically demanding role suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic offshore environment and takes pride in delivering work to the highest standards of safety, quality and compliance.What You’ll Be DoingEnsuring metering system uncertainty remains within required limits through routine maintenance and troubleshootingMaintaining primary and secondary metering equipment, quality analysers and associated systems in line with procedures and standardsPerforming daily metering checks, trend analysis and system health monitoringLeading safe start‑up and shutdown of measurement systems and analysersManaging 3rd‑party metering software (MMS) and ensuring issues are resolved promptlyExecuting work plans, raising PTW documentation and completing detailed work historiesConducting fault‑finding, proposing solutions and identifying improvement opportunitiesSupporting isolations and reinstatement activities, including calculations, data validation and reportingManaging field and test equipment, ensuring certification and calibration complianceLeading or supporting audits (internal, external, FAT/SAT) and representing the client when requiredCoaching and mentoring metering personnel and platform teamsMaintaining excellent housekeeping and promoting a strong safety cultureWhat You’ll BringHNC in an engineering discipline (essential)SVQ Level 3 in Measurement Processes (essential)Engineering apprenticeship (preferred)Minimum 7 years’ experience in a similar metering role within the energy sectorAdvanced knowledge of metering and measurement systemsStrong working knowledge of IP, API, AGA, BS and ISO standardsUnderstanding of OGA guidelines and relevant commercial agreementsExcellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationshipsProven ability to lead audits, solve complex technical problems and work independently offshoreQHSE CommitmentYou will be expected to:Demonstrate strong personal commitment to Quality, Health, Safety & EnvironmentWork within company and client safety management systemsUse PTW systems effectively and complete risk assessmentsEnsure correct PPE, equipment certification and safe working practicesPromote safety awareness and contribute to a positive safety cultureWhy Join Us?This is an opportunity to take ownership of critical metering systems on a major offshore asset, influence continuous improvement, and play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our measurement operations.
