These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design and engineering capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.KBR Abu Dhabi is currently looking to fill a position of Construction Manager for an Offshore Topside Project to be based in Office for some time and then move to Offshore Site on 6 weeks on / 3 weeks off rotation cycle.We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead and oversee all civil and underground infrastructure construction activities for a major oil & gas top side facilities installation on artificial island.The role will be responsible for managing execution, safety, quality, schedule, and coordination of complex land-based civil works, including piling, foundations, trenching, underground utilities, cable laying, and associated infrastructure installation.The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in large-scale infrastructure construction projects and demonstrate the ability to manage multidisciplinary construction teams in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesConstruction ManagementLead all onsite construction activities related to civil and underground infrastructure works.Manage construction execution in accordance with project schedules, specifications, drawings, and HSE requirements.Coordinate daily activities of contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and site supervision teams.Ensure efficient deployment of manpower, equipment, and materials.Civil & Underground Scope OversightManage and supervise works including but not limited to:Piling and deep foundation systemsExcavation and trenching activitiesUnderground utility installationHDPE, GRP, ductile iron, and reinforced concrete piping systemsStormwater, sewer, potable water, and drainage networksElectrical and communication duct banksMV/LV cable laying and underground cable installationsRoad subgrade and civil infrastructure interfacesReview and monitor construction schedules and recovery plans.Coordinate interfaces between civil, MEP, utility, and infrastructure packages.Participate in constructability reviews and work sequencing.Quality & ComplianceEnsure all works comply with project specifications, quality standards, and local authority regulations.Review and approve method statements, inspection test plans (ITPs), and construction procedures.Support QA/QC teams in inspections and resolution of non-conformance reports (NCRs).Health, Safety & EnvironmentPromote and enforce a strong HSE culture across all site activities.Ensure compliance with all project HSE policies and procedures.Participate in risk assessments and toolbox talks.ReportingMonitor productivity and progress.Prepare weekly and monthly construction progress reports for senior management.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in civil or mechanical engineering.ExperienceMinimum 12–15 years of construction experience in major infrastructure projects.Proven experience managing civil and underground utility works on large-scale developments.Strong knowledge of underground utility systems, foundation works, and heavy civil construction methodologies.Experience working in the Middle East/GCC region is an advantage.Leadership CompetenciesStrong leadership and team management skills.Excellent coordination and stakeholder management abilities.Problem-solving and decision-making capability under demanding project conditions.Effective communication and reporting skills.
