Title:Elect Tech Maintenance IIIProgram Summary:KBR’s Product and Technology Solutions Division specializes in rapid prototyping and advanced technology solutions for directed energy, electronic warfare, and security applications. Backed by a global presence and a strong ethical framework, KBR collaborates closely with customers to develop secure, effective, and forward-thinking solutions.Job Summary:This position will independently plan and perform corrective and preventive maintenance on complex electronic intrusion detection systems. You will serve as an expert in intrusion detection systems that include video (IR and day), access control (card readers and keypads), RADAR perimeter security, intrusion detection (PIR and BMS), mass notification equipment and a variety of communication networks. Roles and Responsibilities:Typical duties include:Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on intrusion detection and surveillance systems of various types and manufacturersRecommend solutions to design problems.Perform system tests and analyzing results, modifying equipment or installations to improve performance.Ability to climb ladders up to 8 feet in height and safely ascend/descend as needed.Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing approximately 25-40 poundsComfortable performing tasks in overhead work positions for extended periods.Perform other duties as assignedBasic Qualifications:Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance.High school diploma/GED.Must have as a minimum, (8) eight years hands-on experience in the field of electronics.Experience must include operational, maintenance and team lead work assignments. Previous Intrusion Detection System experience.Preferred Qualifications:Associates degree in electronics technology or a two-year civilian technical electronics curriculum or a four-year trade apprenticeship-training program in electronics or graduate of a military Class "A" electronics school. Working knowledge of multiple systems to include:AMAG alarm monitoring and access control systemsDMP alarm monitor and reporting systemsFLIR RADARs and camerasGenetec NVRsPelco cameras, DVRs, and video switchersNetworking protocols TCP/IP, network hubs, switchers, server connectivityWindows ServersCisco SwitchesFiber communication equipmentWAVES MNSSouthwest Microwave Intrepid fence sensorsMS Server, Windows, Cisco, Security + and/or Tower Climber certifications a plus but not requiredThis is a Service Contract Act (SCA) position.23183 – Electronics Technician Maintenance III - SAM.govCompensation: $75,440.00 - $113,160.00. The salary range posted is for Maryland locations.
