Your expertise ensures that critical power solutions are reliable and ready to support mission success for our customers. You excel at diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and conducting preventative maintenance, ensuring that generators operate at peak performance in any environment.At KBR, you bring a detail-oriented approach and a commitment to safety to every project. Your proactive mindset and dedication to continuous improvement contribute to KBR’s mission of delivering innovative solutions that enhance operational readiness and security.What You WILL DOIn the role of Generator Technician, your duties will include:Troubleshooting: Capable of troubleshooting engines, fuel systems, controls, and generators using prints, diagrams, and specifications.Maintenance and Repairs: Capable of maintaining and operating megawatt rated high amperage and high voltage generators.Monitoring: Knowledge of working with and monitoring contracted maintenance services.Oversight: Provide guidance and oversight for any person under your supervision.Schedule: Willingness to work on-call, rotational shifts, and nights, weekends, and holidays as required.Safety Compliance: Implement and uphold safety protocols during all operations, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others.Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate activities and ensure seamless operations during power outages or emergencies.Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance generator performance and operational efficiency.Emergency Response: Respond promptly to generator failures and emergencies, providing on-site support to restore power quickly and efficiently.This is a contingent position based upon contract award and will be located OCONUSREQUIREMENTS:Requires an active SECRET clearance, with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI w/ PolyHigh school diploma, Vocational or Trade school Graduate or equivalent apprenticeship.Eight (8)+ years of professional Generator experience, three (3) of which are in a lead or supervisory role.Experience troubleshooting engines, fuel systems, controls, and generators using prints, diagrams and specifications.Experience maintaining and operating megawatt rated high amperage and high voltage generators.Knowledge of working with and monitoring contracted maintenance services.Willingness to work on-call, rotational shifts, and nights, weekends, and holidays as required.Belong, Connect and Grow at KBRAt KBR, we are passionate about our people and our Zero Harm culture.
