Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain software for high-velocity data stream processing systemsImplement features and enhancements from requirements through deliveryWrite clean, efficient, and maintainable code with an emphasis on performance and reliabilityDevelop and execute unit and integration tests to ensure software qualityParticipate in code reviews and contribute to shared coding standards and best practicesCollaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutionsTroubleshoot and resolve software issues across development and production environmentsCreate prototypes and contribute to software architecture discussionsGenerate and maintain technical documentation and project artifactsWork Environment:Location: Colorado Springs, CO – 100% Onsite or Beavercreek, OH – 100% OnsiteTravel Requirements: MinimalWorking Hours: StandardRequired Qualifications:3–5 years of professional software development experienceExperience across the full software development lifecycle2+ years of hands-on experience with Java, Python, or another object-oriented programming languageExperience building software systems emphasizing throughput, reliability, and availabilityExperience developing data processing or integration solutions supporting multiple message formats (XML, Protocol Buffers, etc.)Experience with version control, collaboration tools, and modern software engineering practicesRequired Education and Experience:Active U.S. Government Top Secret / SCI security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical fieldDesired Qualifications:Master's degree in Computer Science or related fieldWorking knowledge of MIL-STD-6016 and MIL-STD-3011Experience applying TDD principlesAgile development experienceSecurity+ certificationStrong curiosity, adaptability, and problem-solving skillsBasic Compensation: $92,700 - $139,000 (For the Colorado Springs Area Only)$88,200 - $132,300 (For the Beavercreek, OH Area Only)The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.Additional Compensation:KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of professional software development experience (experience, 5 years)
  • Experience across the full software development lifecycle (experience)

  • Experience building software systems emphasizing throughput, reliability, and availability (experience)
