An active TS/SCI clearance is required.In this role, you will deliver tactical assessments, algorithm validation, and software solutions to close critical space kill chains, ensuring the war-fighter maintains the tactical edge in space.Responsibilities:Provide decision-makers and war-fighters with the critical analysis, tools, and modeling required to close complex space kill chainsAnalyze algorithm deficiencies and identify possible mitigation procedures and/or replacement algorithms across the space C2 enterpriseDevelop/maintain astrodynamics tools and software for a variety of operational use casesResearch and develop algorithms and/or methods to improve SDA and OW operationsCompile research and analysis into digestible presentations and reports for senior leadershipAssist operational units (e.g., 18 SDS, NSDC, and more) with developing short-term software solutions for a variety of real-world issuesServe as a subject matter expert on astrodynamics and offensive/defensive space controlAssist in validation of SSN, non-traditional, commercial space surveillance sensor dataQualifications:Active TS/SCI clearance requiredMaster of Science (M.S.) degree in Operations Research, Astrodynamics, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or another engineering/science fieldExperience: 5+ years of professional experience in space systems analysis, astrodynamics, or space control operationsCoding Expertise: Strong quantitative and analytical programming abilities, with at least 5 years of experience using Python to parse complex datasets, run simulations, or build mathematical modelsDomain Tools: Demonstrated hands-on experience with industry standard astrodynamics software and modeling suitesDesired Qualifications:PhD. in Operations Research or a theoretical science fieldPrograming Language: Experience using MATLAB, Java, or Shell scripting (Bash/Zsh) alongside Python, as well as GitFamiliarity with Satellite Mission PlatformFamiliarity and use of the Unified Data LibraryA deep understanding of the current space C2 enterpriseMission Domain Knowledge: Deep familiarity with DoD space systems, Joint Force programs, and specialized platforms supporting Orbital Warfare (OW) and/or Electronic Warfare (EW)Work Environment:Location: OnsiteWork Hours: StandardCompensation:For Colorado only, the salary range for this position is approximately $165,000 - $175,000. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.Other Compensation:KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Required Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance required (experience)
  • Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Operations Research, Astrodynamics, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or another engineering/science field (degree in operations research)
  • Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in space systems analysis, astrodynamics, or space control operations (experience, 5 years)
  • Coding Expertise: Strong quantitative and analytical programming abilities, with at least 5 years of experience using Python to parse complex datasets, run simulations, or build mathematical models (experience, 5 years)
  • Domain Tools: Demonstrated hands-on experience with industry standard astrodynamics software and modeling suites (experience)
  • PhD. in Operations Research or a theoretical science field (degree in operations research or a theoretical science field)
  • Programing Language: Experience using MATLAB, Java, or Shell scripting (Bash/Zsh) alongside Python, as well as Git (experience)
  • Familiarity with Satellite Mission Platform (experience)
  • Familiarity and use of the Unified Data Library (experience)
  • A deep understanding of the current space C2 enterprise (experience)
  • Mission Domain Knowledge: Deep familiarity with DoD space systems, Joint Force programs, and specialized platforms supporting Orbital Warfare (OW) and/or Electronic Warfare (EW) (experience)

Responsibilities
