Job Description
Title:Predictive Research AnalystKBR is seeking a Predictive Research Analyst for mission-level combat modeling to join our team at Wright Paterson AFB, Dayton Ohio an active Top Secret clearance is required.Qualified candidates should be adept at effectively organizing and executing analytic studies within a team of analysts containing skills spanning a range of disciplines. Experience and familiarity with the space domain and mission-level models/tools like System Effectiveness Analysis Simulation (SEAS) or Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling (AFSIM) is desired. Responsibilities:Utilizing studies and analyses, specifically a strong background in mission-level modeling and simulation, the analyst will make recommendations regarding the military utility, feasibility, joint warfighter impacts of the concepts and capabilities under studyAbility to coordinate with senior managers and decision makers to identify and solve a variety of problems and to clarify management objectivesThe Analyst will work as part of a contractor team working alongside a broader team of government and contract staffRequired Skills and Experience:Master's degree in operations research or a theoretical science fieldAn active Top Secret with SCI security clearance10+ years of directly applicable experience Experience conducting modeling & simulation analyses Willingness to learn and employ campaign-level and/or defense enterprise-level modelsHigh motivation, creativity, and flexibility to work in a dynamic environmentAbility to work well as part of a teamStrong quantitative and analytic abilities to integrate and analyze dataPreferred Skills and Experience:PhD in operations research or a theoretical science field Experience with more highly aggregated, campaign-level and/or defense enterprise-level analysis toolsExperience in DoD space and joint force programsExperience with AFSIM, SEAS, STORM or other related modelsExperience with Java, MATLAB, R, SAS, JMP, and/or PythonExperience with data transformations and data visualizationExperience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and MySQL or other relational databasesExperience with BI ToolsExperience with Excel VBAWork Environment:Location: On-siteTravel Requirements: N/AWorking Hours: Standard first shift 40 hours a weekBelong, Connect and Grow at KBRAt KBR, we are passionate about our people and our Zero Harm culture.
