With a global presence and a strong ethical framework, KBR ensures secure, effective, and mission-ready capabilities worldwide.Job SummaryA Production Engineer opportunity for the Search, Track Acquire, Radiate, Eliminate (STARE) Project Office.As a Defense Systems Production Engineer, you will serve as a critical technical authority regarding the manufacturability, quality, and configuration of advanced defense systems. This role requires a rigorous focus on technical data validation, factory floor execution, and strict adherence to military standards to ensure the continuous and secure delivery of mission-critical hardware, software, and firmware.Duties & ResponsibilitiesTechnical Data & Requirements• Review and approve Technical Data Packages (TDPs).• Read, interpret, and validate engineering drawings, MIL-STDs, and specifications.• Ensure end-to-end requirements traceability across the product lifecycle.Configuration Management (CM)• Lead Configuration Management efforts across hardware, software, and firmware.• Actively participate in and guide Configuration Control Boards (CCBs).• Execute rigorous Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) to maintain system integrity.Quality & Manufacturing Oversight• Conduct comprehensive factory floor audits.• Oversee quality control processes and perform technical validations to ensure manufacturing baselines are met.Industrial Base & Supply Chain• Analyze defense manufacturing capabilities and industrial base issues.• Implement and monitor Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) protocols to protect production continuity.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in an Engineering DisciplineAn active Secret security clearance OR the ability to obtain and maintain one which requires US CitizenshipPreferred QualificationsApplied knowledge of EIA-649 (Configuration Management).Applied knowledge of MIL-STD-31000 (Technical Data Packages).Applied knowledge of ISO 9001 (Quality Management Systems).Deep understanding of defense manufacturing processes.Supplier risk mitigation and supply chain risk management.Hardware, software, and firmware integration methodologies.Belong, Connect and Grow at KBRAt KBR, we are passionate about our people and our Zero Harm culture.
