But we all share one goal: to improve the world responsibly and safely.The Quality Assurance Receiving Inspector is responsible for inspecting incoming materials, components, and assemblies to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, regulatory requirements, and company quality standards. This role is critical in maintaining product conformance and integrity, and supporting safe, reliable aerospace operations.RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform receiving inspection of raw materials, machined parts, assemblies, and special processesVerify compliance with engineering drawings, purchase orders, specifications, and quality requirementsReview and validate certifications, test reports, and supplier documentationIdentify and document non-conforming materials; initiate and support corrective actionsWork with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve quality issuesEnsure compliance with AS9100 and other aerospace standardsMaintain accurate inspection records and documentationSupport continuous improvement initiatives within the quality organizationREQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred.Ability to read and understand aerospace drawings,Strong understanding of quality receiving inspection methods and processesFamiliarity with AS9100 quality management systems.Experience using measurement tools and inspection equipment.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Education: High School Diploma or equivalent GED minimum with 5+ years of Quality Assurance experience or a Bachelor of Science in engineering or related technical fieldYears of Experience: 5+ of related experiencePREFERRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:Experience with supplier quality, process improvement or process development.Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMM equipmentUnderstanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)ASQ certification such as CQE or CQA preferred.At KBR, we are passionate about our people and our Zero Harm culture.
