If you’re ready, let’s get started.The KBR team of teams delivers future-forward science, technology and engineering solutions and mission-critical services that help governments and companies around the world accomplish their most important objectives, while also helping achieve their sustainability goals.About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join a major infrastructure and engineering programme supporting critical defence operations in a highly regulated environment.We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to provide Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) expertise, ensuring right-first-time delivery and continuous improvement across complex projects.LocationThis role is based on site in Helensburgh, Argyll & Bute.Your own transport is essential.Security RequirementsSC ClearanceDue to the secure nature of this project, restrictions in relation to UK residency and nationality will apply.Key ResponsibilitiesEstablishing and supporting project quality processes, procedures, and plansReviewing technical documentation (e.g. ITPs, Quality Plans, specifications) for compliance with requirementsPlanning and undertaking on-site inspections and surveillance of supplier QA/QC activitiesConducting internal audits, supplier audits, and quality health checksMonitoring quality performance against KPIs and identifying improvement areasSupporting product verification activities, including factory and site acceptance tests and release inspectionsManaging non-conformances, defect notifications, risks, and opportunitiesLeading root cause analysis and driving process improvement initiativesCoordinating Lifetime Quality Records and final documentation packsLiaising with third-party representatives and quality stakeholders as requiredEssential SkillsExperience in a Quality Engineering role within regulated industries (e.g. defence, nuclear, oil & gas, aerospace, pharmaceuticals).Strong knowledge and application of ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems.Proven experience delivering across multiple projects and domains.Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office, SharePoint)Excellent report writing and communication skills.KBR Benefits & MoreBelong.
