Job level will be based on years of experience in support of a mature capture process and the value of captured contracts. Details are listed in the Qualifications Section below. The KBR Senior Capture Manager will serve as a Capture lead within KBR’s Exploration and Logistics (E&L) business unit. Customers include a broad selection of Federal Civilian Government agencies with a specific focus on GSA AAS/Fedsim procurements for high-performance computing (HPC), AI, cloud, and mission programs. The Capture lead will be responsible for leading, developing, maturing, and winning new large, prime business.Primary work location will be Columbia, MD with assigned customers based across the US. Position can be 100% remote depending on location.Approximately 20-40% of work time will be on travel to client locations.Responsibilities:Capture ownership of assigned opportunities in support of KBR’s growth mission and visionResponsible for the management and execution of the full BD life-cycle process across multiple simultaneous pursuits and proposalsRoutinely assignment of 2-3 large ($100M+) solicitation pursuits at various stages of the capture lifecycle primarily in the federal marketConceptualize a winning strategy, develop a capture plan that implements the strategy and translates into win themes, discriminators, and scorable strengths, adjusts the strategy as the procurement unfolds, and drive the capture activities and team (internal and external) to achieve the strategy through final proposal submissionPlan, lead, execute capture activities to include: Participate in developing a healthy pipeline of new opportunitiesQualify and assess the “win-ability” of new opportunitiesDevelop a plan for securing knowledge and understanding of the customer’s requirements, challenges, issues, and needs during the capture phase and lead solutioning/planning sessions with the capture teamCoordinate meetings with customers, competitors, clients, and teammates to develop market insight on requirements, acquisition strategy, acquisition timing, and contract vehicle choicesLead milestone/gate reviews, black hat sessions, solution sessions, blue teams, and support proposal reviewsLead competitive assessments, teaming, and price-to-win effortsLead the development and submission of white papers, RFI responses, and other proposal artifacts as assignedApply KBR capture management best practices to each pursuit, including creating and disseminating capture artifacts—call reports, B&P budgets, win plans, solution documentation, key strengths statementsBrief capture status to senior management at specified milestones in the capture process, when material changes occur and as requestedCreating winning solutionsWinning large new business programsBasic Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree and a total of 12+ years of experience that includes 8+ years of industry experience and 4+ years of experience in business developmentExperience winning new business single award contracts valued over $100MBachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience will be accepted in lieu of degreeMust have a demonstrable history of winning large prime, single award, non-IDIQ contractsDemonstrated ability to work with senior business and government leaders and to provide leadership within the workplaceWorking knowledge and experience within a mature, industry-leading capture organization targeting space and engineering supportAn ability to drive profitable financial outcomes on each capture with demonstrated understanding of corporate indirect rates and LOE/BOE developmentProven success in the following discipline(s): Business development, capture management, program management, science and engineering programs, civil space programs, civilian federal technology programs, AAS/GSA acquisition processes, opportunity identification and qualificationDemonstrated leadership skills in services-centric organizations to develop, organize and execute significant capture activities, including building industry teams, assessing win probability, and executing customer call plans to shape acquisitionsBasic Compensation:$174,700-$262,000The offered rate will be based on contract affordability and the selected candidate’s working location, knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience, and in consideration of internal parity.At KBR, we are passionate about our people and our Zero Harm culture. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a total of 12+ years of experience that includes 8+ years of industry experience and 4+ years of experience in business development (experience, 12 years)
  • Experience winning new business single award contracts valued over $100M (experience)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience will be accepted in lieu of degree (experience)
  • Must have a demonstrable history of winning large prime, single award, non-IDIQ contracts (experience)
  • Demonstrated ability to work with senior business and government leaders and to provide leadership within the workplace (experience)
  • Working knowledge and experience within a mature, industry-leading capture organization targeting space and engineering support (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Capture ownership of assigned opportunities in support of KBR’s growth mission and vision
