Job Title:Senior Electrical Engineer - Greenfield KBR Abu Dhabi PMC Team is currently seeking experienced professionals for the position listed below in support of a major Offshore Project. The role will be based at either the Client's Office or the Contractor's Office in Abu Dhabi, UAE.Job PurposeThe Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, engineering, execution, and commissioning support of electrical systems for ADNOC Offshore Greenfield developments. The role ensures all electrical engineering activities are performed in accordance with ADNOC standards, international codes, project specifications, safety requirements, and project schedules.The incumbent shall provide technical leadership during FEED, Detailed Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Pre-commissioning, Commissioning, and Start-up phases of offshore facilities, including wellhead towers, offshore platforms, central processing facilities, substations, and associated infrastructure.Key ResponsibilitiesEngineering & DesignLead and execute electrical engineering activities for Greenfield offshore oil and gas projects.Develop and review electrical design deliverables including:Single Line Diagrams (SLD)Load ListsElectrical Equipment DatasheetsPower System StudiesCable SchedulesCable Routing DrawingsEarthing & Lightning Protection DesignsHazardous Area Classification RequirementsDesign and review power generation, transmission and distribution systems.Assess electrical system performance, reliability, and integrity throughout project lifecycle.Ensure compliance with ADNOC standards, IEC, IEEE, NFPA, API and relevant international codes.Power System EngineeringPerform and review:Load Flow StudiesShort Circuit StudiesMotor Starting AnalysisRelay Coordination StudiesArc Flash StudiesHarmonic AnalysisTransient Stability StudiesValidate electrical network configurations and equipment sizing.Review vendor calculations and simulation reports.Equipment EngineeringManage engineering and selection of:Gas Turbine GeneratorsDiesel GeneratorsHV/LV SwitchgearTransformersUPS SystemsBattery ChargersVFDsMotorsLighting SystemsCathodic Protection InterfacesCoordinate with vendors during design, manufacturing, FAT and SAT activities.Multidiscipline CoordinationInterface with Process, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Structural, Telecom and HSE teams.Resolve technical issues and manage engineering interfaces.Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews and HAZOP/HAZID workshops.Procurement SupportPrepare and review technical requisitions, bid evaluations and purchase recommendations.Evaluate supplier technical offers and participate in vendor meetings.Review vendor drawings and documentation within project timelines.Construction & Commissioning SupportProvide engineering support during construction and installation phases.Review method statements, inspection plans and field engineering queries.Participate in pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities.Witness FAT, SAT and commissioning tests as required.Safety & QualityEnsure compliance with ADNOC HSE requirements and project quality management systems.Promote safe design principles and asset integrity throughout project execution.Participate in design safety reviews and risk assessments.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.Master's Degree is advantageous.Professional Engineering registration or equivalent certification is preferred.Experience RequirementsMinimum 15 years of electrical engineering experience in Oil & Gas projects.At least 8 years in Greenfield Offshore EPC/EPCM projects.Strong ADNOC Offshore, ADNOC Onshore, Saudi Aramco, QatarEnergy or major international operator project experience preferred.Experience covering FEED, Detailed Design, Construction and Commissioning phases.Proven track record in large-scale offshore development projects.Technical CompetenciesElectrical SystemsHV/LV Power Distribution SystemsOffshore Power Generation SystemsEmergency Power SystemsSubstations and SwitchgearMotor Control CentersElectrical Protection SystemsUPS and Battery SystemsEarthing and Lightning ProtectionSoftwareETAPSKM PowerToolsDIgSILENT PowerFactorySmartPlant Electrical (SPEL)AutoCADMS Office SuiteCodes & StandardsADNOC Engineering StandardsIEC StandardsIEEE StandardsNFPA CodesAPI StandardsBS StandardsNEMA StandardsBehavioral CompetenciesStrong leadership and mentoring skills.Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.Problem-solving and analytical thinking.Ability to work in multicultural engineering environments.Strong commitment to safety and quality.Effective planning and project execution skills.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Timely delivery of engineering deliverables.Compliance with ADNOC and project specifications.Engineering quality and minimal design rework.Successful closure of technical queries.Support of project schedule and cost objectives.Achievement of commissioning and start-up milestones.Preferred ADNOC Offshore ExperienceOffshore Processing Facilities.Artificial Islands and Remote Wellhead Towers.Offshore Substations.Brownfield Integration Interfaces.High Voltage Systems (11kV, 33kV, 132kV).Electrical systems for unmanned and manned offshore installations.
