We Deliver – Together.The OpportunityKBR is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our team supporting the Integrated Air and Space Program Office (IASPO). This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery and sustainment of complex Defence capability, working alongside Commonwealth personnel and industry partners to deliver innovative engineering outcomes.As a Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in the application of systems engineering principles across the capability lifecycle, ensuring Defence systems are safe, compliant, and fit for purpose.Responsibilities:Deliver systems engineering activities across the capability lifecycle, supporting the development, integration and sustainment of complex Defence capabilities.Provide technical advice and engineering solutions to support project delivery, risk management and informed decision-making.Conduct systems safety activities, including hazard analyses, to ensure compliance with Defence engineering and regulatory requirements.Review technical documentation, engineering designs and contractor deliverables, providing recommendations to support quality and capability outcomes.Support engineering assurance activities by verifying delivered systems meet technical, operational and safety requirements.Collaborate with Defence stakeholders, industry partners and multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful project outcomes.Build strong relationships and communicate complex technical information effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative, knowledge-sharing culture.As the ideal candidate you will bring: A tertiary qualification in Engineering recognised in Australia.Experience applying systems engineering processes to complex Defence or aerospace programs.Knowledge of Systems Safety, hazard analysis and engineering assurance practices.Experience reviewing technical documentation, engineering designs and contractor deliverables.Strong understanding of engineering governance, regulatory compliance and risk management.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with government, industry and multidisciplinary teams.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.The ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to a positive team culture.Minimum AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance and Australian citizenship required to be eligible.What we will offer you:· A workplace culture certified as a Great Place To Work· Flexible working· Competitive salary (including annual reviews)· Paid parental leave· Income protection· Corporate rewards· Salary packaging/Novated leasing· Employee stock purchase plans· Flu shots, skin checks and discounted private health insurance· Career development: Online learning, mentorship and career pathwaysIf you’re ready to shape tomorrow, let’s get started.
