This position supports laboratory-based and operationally relevant systems across research and applied DoD programs.This position requires a solid foundation in systems engineering and PNT fundamentals, with the ability to work across hardware, software, and test boundaries. The engineer will work closely with software engineers and hardware teams to support and perform concept development, prototyping, integration, test, and assessment of PNT system performance in laboratory and field environments for offensive and defensive systems.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and execute integration of hardware, software, and test infrastructureDevelop and manage system requirements, interfaces, and verification approachesLead or support laboratory, HITL/SITL, and field test activities RF systemsEvaluate system performance, limitations, and risks based on test and analysis resultsCoordinate with software engineers to ensure algorithm assumptions align with hardware and system constraintsSupport development of system architectures, trade studies, and evaluation strategiesDocument system designs, test plans, and results to support technical reviews and customer deliverablesParticipate in team technical interchange meetings to describe technical activities, progress, issues, improvements, and more.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Communications Theory, or a related technical discipline3-7 years of professional experience in systems engineering, integration, or test for technical systemsExperience developing system requirements and supporting verification and validation activitiesExperience supporting laboratory or fielded test environmentsAbility to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearanceDesired QualificationsExperience supporting RF, PNT or navigation system integration and testingStrong verbal and written communications skillsFamiliarity with PNT systems and concepts (e.g., Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), inertial navigation, timing)Experience with HIL/SIL test architectures or laboratory automationFamiliarity with modeling, simulation, or digital engineering approachesExperience supporting DoD programs, laboratory R&D, or operational prototyping effortsBasic Compensation: $100,000 - $150,000 (For Beavercreek, OH Only)The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.Belong, Connect and Grow at KBRAt KBR, we are passionate about our people and our Zero Harm culture. Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Communications Theory, or a related technical discipline (degree in electrical engineering)
  • 3-7 years of professional experience in systems engineering, integration, or test for technical systems (experience, 7 years)
  • Experience developing system requirements and supporting verification and validation activities (experience)
  • Experience supporting laboratory or fielded test environments (experience)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD security clearance (experience)
  • Experience supporting RF, PNT or navigation system integration and testing (experience)
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills (experience)
  • Familiarity with PNT systems and concepts (e.g., Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), inertial navigation, timing) (experience)
  • Experience with HIL/SIL test architectures or laboratory automation (experience)
  • Familiarity with modeling, simulation, or digital engineering approaches (experience)

  • Basic Compensation: $100,000 - $150,000 (For Beavercreek, OH Only)The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity. (experience)
