There is never a dull moment with us.Job Description/Preferred QualificationsPurchase of materials, components and equipment as driven by MRP system or reorder point systemDetermine materials requirements from engineering and production schedules, and maintain inventory at planned levelDrive assurance of supply to production by prompt execution of MRB materials, drive supplier OTD performance and timely execution of ECO. Work with supplier on the shortage challenges and provide work around solutions to minimize impact on shortagesManage cost by reviewing EOQ pricing of materials, MRB rework cost and minimizing unnecessary spend on expedited freight cost and PPVs.Plan, schedule and monitor the movement of materials through production cycleMonitor cost, schedule, and scope of assigned supply base to assure best quality at best valuePerform excess and obsolescence functions to minimize company’s riskGather quotations, examine bids, and make awards; and develop specifications for new contract ordersEvaluate vendor reliability and develop new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequateParticipate in supplier scorecard process – providing feedback and following up on action plans on cost, lead-time, delivery performance and responseDefine and develop process when none is availableWorking with various functional groups (and sites, if needed) to come out with best known methods (BKMs) for implementationCreate Training material (Regular retraining & Job aids, FAQ) & Roll-out, as neededHighlight if there are projects & timelines limitationsWork on system set up and data cleansingPerform and Support UAT, cut over and Go Live as neededHelp to trouble shoot and address issues by raising enhancement/incidents tickets and follow up on resolutionsMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering / Supply Chain Management / LogisticsRelated industry experience in production planning and buying experienceProficient in MS Excel, Macros, Word, Outlook, BI and experience in SAP system is highly desirableWilling to learn Strong analytical skillsKnowledge of supply chain and materials flow conceptsExperience in low volume high mix and DFT/pull manufacturing environment is a plusExperience in developing and improving existing processes and proceduresWe offer a competitive, family friendly total rewards package.
