The ICOS division headquarters are in Leuven, Belgium with additional engineering and manufacturing operations in Singapore and Shenzhen (China).Job Description/Preferred QualificationsResponsibilities:The customer engagement applications engineer will have following responsibilities in the team:You will specialize yourself into the CI product that handles the final QC-out inspection of IC products such as BGA, QFP or QFN packagesIn close cooperation with many organizations including engineering, sales and marketing within KLA, you will be responsible for providing technical applications support for the development and implementation of the CI product in customer fabrication facilitiesYou will provide and lead product penetration and adoption support, customer demonstrations, and head-to-head (H2H) activities at customer facilitiesAfter investigating semiconductor manufacturing yield issues and providing inspection solutions, you will create and share product value statements and use-cases with engineering, marketing and sales groupsYou engage directly with customers for new IC package designs, and share your recipe development learnings with peers by means of BKMs (Best Known Method)Training sessions customers and local service engineers will be part of the work package.Profile :We are looking for high energy, dedicated and motivated engineers who are interested in working in a high-tech environmentYou have a Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with 1-3 years of industry experienceExperience as a technical specialist or application engineer in the semiconductor backend is an advantage but not a mustYou are dynamic and like to interact with peopleExcellent organizational and self-leadership skillsA keen technical mind, an eye for detail, a positive drive and committing to resultsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to absorb and transfer knowledge to othersProficient in English with good communication skillsThis is a position based in Korea with almost daily travel to customer sites as well as occasional travel outside Korea.Minimum QualificationsMaster's Level Degree and 1-2 years related work experience; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 2-3 yearsWe offer a competitive, family friendly total rewards package.
