There is never a dull moment with us.Job Description/Preferred QualificationsKey ResponsibilitiesManage chemical supply inventory processes, including ordering, receiving, storing, distributing, and replenishing chemicals.Track inventory to ensure chemicals are up to date and non-expiredCoordinate movement and delivery of chemical samples within the R&D facilityMaintain accurate documentation for incoming/outgoing shipments and logistics records.Ensure compliance with EPA, OSHA, and NJDEP regulations, including chemical labeling, SDS usage, storage, and hazardous waste handling.Support waste stream processes including segregation, storage, testing, and disposal.Perform routine lab housekeeping and daily/periodic safety inspectionsConduct quarterly audits of chemical storage areas, including:Removal of expired or unused chemicalsCleaning and organizing chemical cabinetsMaintaining good laboratory practicesCollaborate with R&D teams to understand project-specific chemical needs and lead timesMonitor chemical usage trends and support inventory planningAssist with equipment facilitation and de-facilitation, including basic maintenance supportSupport facilities and engineering projects as neededParticipate in Safety Committee and Emergency Response Team activities, including spill response and incident supportMaintain documentation of inspections and safety-related activitiesPreferred QualificationsExperience with EPA, OSHA, and NJDEP regulatory complianceKnowledge of hazardous waste handling and RCRA regulationsExperience in semiconductor, analytical instrumentation, or R&D lab environmentsMechanical aptitude and experience with basic tools and equipment maintenanceBachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Chemistry, Chemical Technology, Engineering Technology, or related field2+ years of experience in:Laboratory operations or chemical handlingInventory or stockroom managementEquipment maintenance or technical supportWorking knowledge of:SDS documentation and chemical hazard handlingLaboratory safety practices and proceduresMinimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in related field with 2+ years of relevant experience; OR Master's Degree in related fieldBase Pay Range: $22.02 - $37.46 Per HourPrimary Location: USA-NJ-Totowa-KLAKLA’s total rewards package for employees may also include participation in performance incentive programs and eligibility for additional benefits including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, life, and other voluntary benefits, 401(K) including company matching, employee stock purchase program (ESPP), student debt assistance, tuition reimbursement program, development and career growth opportunities and programs, financial planning benefits, wellness benefits including an employee assistance program (EAP), paid time off and paid company holidays, and family care and bonding leave.Interns are eligible for some of the benefits listed.
