Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.Job Description/Preferred QualificationsWe are seeking a detail-oriented PCB Layout Engineer to design and develop high-quality printed circuit board (PCB) layouts for complex electronic systems. This role will work closely with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure designs meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability requirements. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and layout multi-layer, high-density PCB boards, including component placement and signal routingTranslate schematics into manufacturable PCB designs with strong focus on signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal performanceDefine stack-ups, impedance control, and routing constraints for high-speed designs (e.g., DDR, PCIe, SERDES)Generate complete PCB fabrication and assembly packages (Gerber, ODB++, drawings, BOM)Perform design rule checks (DRC), validation, and troubleshooting of PCB layoutsCollaborate with electrical engineers to understand design requirements and system constraintsWork with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure DFM/DFA compliance and successful production buildsSupport prototype bring-up, debugging, and layout optimization for cost, performance, and yieldMaintain design documentation, libraries, and revision controlMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field3–8+ years of experience in PCB layout/design (level dependent)Strong proficiency in PCB design tools (e.g., Cadence Allegro, Altium Designer, Mentor, or Zuken)Solid understanding of:High-speed digital designSignal integrity (SI) / power integrity (PI)EMC/EMI mitigation techniquesExperience with multi-layer, high-density boards and modern fabrication processesFamiliarity witPCB layout and routing expertiseCAD/EDA proficiencyStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsCross-functional collaboration (EE, ME, manufacturing)Attention to detail and documentation disciplinePreferred QualificationsExperience with complex systems (industrial, semiconductor tools, automotive, or high-reliability electronics)Knowledge of DFM/DFT best practices and cost optimization strategiesExperience with board bring-up, validation, and failure analysisIPC CID certification or equivalentWe offer a competitive, family friendly total rewards package.
