Research, develop, and enhance advanced algorithms in image/signal processing, geometry pattern handling, high performance computing, and machine learning algorithms for defect inspection and critical dimension metrology. Responsibilities include: define problem statements, research on academic papers, propose solutions based on existing algorithms/investigations, prototype ideas (independently or collaboratively), evaluating feasibility and performance, and designing product-level approaches. 2. Develop software using C++ on Linux, including design, implementation, integration with product software, and unit testing.3. Big data analysis, design software architecture and data mining.4. Co-work with global teams to identify, analyze, and solve problems, and validate solutions. 5. Follow KLA software development process, including writing design and development documents in English6. Travel globally (US, Korea, Taiwan, etc.) for short term customer support and training Preferred Qualifications:1. Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related technical fields.2. Solid Background in at least one of the following areas: image processing, signal processing, computer vision, pattern recognition, computational geometry, data analysis, high-performance computing and machine learning3. Experience with C/C++/Python coding4. Skilled in algorithm design, software development and debugging5. Capable of independently identifying, analyzing, and solving problems.6. Passionate about algorithms, eager to learn new technologies. A solid foundation in mathematics and logic is a plus7. Fluent in English, with excellent communication and teamwork skills8. Ability to travel globally9.
