Enabling the movement towards advanced chip design, KLA's Global Products Group (GPG), which is responsible for creating all of KLA’s metrology and inspection products, is looking for the best and the brightest research scientist, software engineers, application development engineers, and senior product technology process engineers. The Optical Metrology Division products are used for optical overlay metrology. The portfolio of products includes unique solution packages which are based on hardware and software systems to enhance yield and effectiveness. KLA Israel is located in the Migdal Haemek Industrial Park.Job Description/Preferred QualificationsResponsibilitiesWork with multi-disciplinary teams to develop and implement design improvements to currently released products as well as assist in development of next generation productsParticipate in the development and testing of systems design improvements, spec validation, and implementation of solutionsGather and analyze data from systems at customer sites to identify sources of systematic or intermittent issuesRespond to field escalations where field service engineers have failed to resolve complex system performance problems, by providing written plans of action by e-mail, phone or on-site hands-on assistance at customer sites worldwideWrite technical reports to communicate issues, analysis, technical assessments, system status, best-known-methods, and engineering recommendationsBe able to quickly get up to speed to design and execute multi-disciplinary experiments, write and peer review detailed test plans and summary reports for system testingCoordinates and performs root cause analysis to solve problemsInterfaces closely with service, manufacturing, engineering and marketing team to define and optimize system performance and resolve performance issues.Coordinate with outside vendors to perform and deliver sub-system productsHands-on troubleshooting and maintaining of engineering prototype systems in division headquartersQualificationsMust have a degree in Engineering, Physics, Material Science or related fieldsHave excellent oral and written communication, organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skillsBe able to clearly communicate with cross functional internal teams, division management, as well as external customersHave knowledge with data analysis tools such as JMP, Matlab, Microsoft ExcelThe candidate should be self-driven, yet a strong team player.
