Job DescriptionUnder the direction of the Operations Manager and with the support of management staff, the Continuous Improvement Engineer will follow these job descriptions as it relates to the job title. The employee will own results for safety, right the first time, compliance to plan, sanitation, labor cost, through put, yield, operating systems health, hard asset improvement and team improvement. The employee will actively participate in annual planning, weekly PDCA meetings, DDS meetings and daily level 2 meetings. Coaches and develops their team by serving as leadership coach and resource. Spends floor time gathering information on operating system health information.Primary Responsibilities:Provides Management and leadership to deliver business results and operational improvementsResponsible for the day to day manufacturing needs for their assigned areaAchieve safety, quality productivity, efficiency, customer service, cost and employee engagement objectives through both individual and team contributionsProvides direction, leadership, development and support to direct reports through empowerment, team-work, on-the-job assignments, and continuous improvement projects and initiativesDevelops, implements and promotes safety programs and safe work practices through involvement in plant safety team programs and initiativesPromotes sound employee and labor relations within the department by developing and maintaining an effective organization with qualified personalDevelops, promotes and supports continuous improvement and other cross functional initiativesOwns and Leads the implementation of the QRMP (Quality Risk Management Process) standard as outlined in the plant accountability listParticipates in team goal setting/implementation to insure we are low cost high quality producerStrive to maximize the efficiency of the plant/department by submitting and implementing process improvementsInsures the quality of our products and our workplace by following all procedures and guidelinesComply with all established GMP, HACCP guidelines, Housekeeping responsibilities and QRMP operating proceduresAssists in the implementation of the QRMP programActively participates in team safety efforts to achieve/exceed plant goalsLeads areas of change management and accountabilityMentors CI Lead and Maintenance Lead to identify improvements and apply problem solving techniquesConduct annual plans for process improvementParticipates in Maintenance planningCoordinate cleaning activities within the department and can conduct checks as neededInvolved in plant optimizationProvide /insure all explanation of all deviations in procedures and line process checksMaintains knowledge on completing appropriate paperwork for all areas and conducting respective inventoriesMaintain correct and accurate documentation for the payroll systemTake leadership in routine production problem solvingCoordinate period cleaning programs and monthly checks.Ensure employee coverage daily with each shiftCoach and develop direct reportsCan lead level 2 meetings, PDCA meetings and production meetingsFlexibility to adjust to shifts to work with employees from all shifts as requiredWorks overtime as necessaryPerforms other related duties as assignedEducation & Experience:High School Diploma/GED requiredAssociates or Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferredOther Requirements:Ensure all safety and quality guidelines are being followedMaintain legible, neat and accurate records and reportsMust have leadership abilities, positive attitude, strong interpersonal and communication skillsMust understand the plant document control procedureMust have an understating of the plant record control procedureMust be able to demonstrate planning/organizational skills and behavior which will contribute to the overall team effectiveness.Must be able to work well within a team environment as well as work effectively with all associatesCapable of learning intermediate Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft Word, Matrics, and ZPI skillsStrong planning/organizational skills and communication skillsUnderstanding of requirements and importance of documentationCan understand and write WIs, SOPs, OPLs#INDMFGSOur Total Rewards philosophy is to provide a meaningful and flexible spectrum of programs that equitably support our diverse workforce and their families and complement Kraft Heinz’ strategy and values.New Hire Base Salary Range:$77,800.00 - $97,300.00Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factorsBenefits: Coverage for employees (and their eligible dependents) through affordable access to healthcare, protection, and saving for the future, we offer plans tailored to meet you and your family’s needs.
