Job DescriptionMulti-Skilled EngineerReporting into Maintenance ManagerShift Pattern: Rotating DaysRole Summary: To proactively work as part of a multi-disciplined shift team to maintain all assets within the Operational areas to optimise the utilisation of the equipment and to deliver maximum volume at the right quality. Working closely with the Production and Engineering Managers and technicians to provide a rapid response to line breakdowns. Actively identify RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and bring the equipment back into service as quickly as possible as well as actively seeking and identifying cost effective improvements to site assets and equipment, improving efficiency and reliability.To provide engineering and operational support to the factory and to support asset improvements.Key Responsibilities: Developing and implementing a global quality systems strategy that aligns with the organization's overall objectives andCarrying out planned and preventative maintenance using Electrical, Control System, Automation and Mechanical Engineering skill setParticipation in all aspects of KHMSTo diagnose faults and to test, repair and maintain Mechanical / Electrical equipmentSupport site Reliability agenda: Identification of failure modes and trends, complete root cause analysis (RCA) processes and drive / deliver the agreed actionsIdentify life cycle issues and raise these with possible recommendationsProactive fault prevention and continuous improvement activity to deliver key maintenance KPI’sProvide support to and involvement in site Project and Change Initiatives as appropriateDrive situational support & improvements using tools such as SIC boards, 5 WHY & SOC documents, gathering shift report data for continuity across shift handoversEnsure all tasks are risk assessed through site specific or dynamic assessments (DRA)Attend and participate in daily team and handover meetings to ensure effective handover of information across shiftReport all maintenance tasks on SAP system as required and to the correct standardSupport the planning, critical information collection, organising and execution of worksComplete duty rounds asset care, PMs and CBM as requiredSupport asset care / OEE processAdditional Responsibilities: 18th Edition qualifiedElectrical / Mechanical Duty HolderHas an active role to play in continuously improving our businessResilience to ensure problems are completed through to the identification and resolution of root causeSupport improvement activities / events within facilities and engineering owned areasUnderstands the impact of own actions and others on achieving site/business objectivesAware of how current performance impacts the bottom lineAbility to deliver on the job training (knowledge transfer) to new / existing colleagues and apprentices through creation SMP/SOP’sHealth and safety of self and othersComplete and submit PPM and Reactive task paperwork accurately and timeouslyEscort and oversee subcontractors as necessaryRaise permits to workExpected Qualifications / Experience:Good communication skills to ensure quality handovers Must be flexible and possess the ability to work in teamsCommitted to the support of proactive management of all departments KPI’sPossess a flexible and enthusiastic outlookA Team PlayerProactive in approach to all aspects of workRecognised / Certificated Engineering ApprenticeshipMinimum 5 years in maintenanceExperience in a Manufacturing IndustryMechanical / Electrical BiasedONC/HNC/NVQ L3IOSHH / Nebosh is desirableLocation(s)Kitt Green Kraft Heinz is an Equal Opportunity Employer – Underrepresented Ethnic Minority Groups/Women/Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity and other protected classes.

  • ONC/HNC/NVQ L3 (experience)
  • IOSHH / Nebosh is desirable (experience)

Responsibilities
