Job DescriptionSenior HR Business Partner - Parental Leave Cover (Until Dec 2027)About the roleWe’re seeking a Senior HR Business Partner to join our ANZ People & Performance team, based in Newmarket, New Zealand, on a fixed-term contract to cover parental leave. In this role, you’ll partner with our Corporate and Commercial functions across ANZ, primarily supporting leaders at L3/L4 level, and help deliver functional strategy through pragmatic, people-focused solutions. You'll work closely with our Centres of Excellence (COEs) and broader HR team across the end-to-end people cycle (including succession, engagement, merit, AOP, and performance/OPR). The role also has one direct report (HRBP), currently based in Melbourne.What you’ll be responsible forPartner with business leaders to translate strategy into clear people priorities and actionSupport delivery and governance of the people budget, partnering with SCF and HR FinancePartner with the Employee Relations Lead to progress the ER/IR agenda, including bargaining activities across sites (as applicable)Lead core talent and performance activities (performance, development, retention, succession)Coach and advise leaders on employee relations, ways of working, leadership capability, and team effectivenessCollaborate with COEs (TA, Reward, L&D) to deliver integrated solutionsSupport delivery of key HR projects (change, engagement, capability, culture)Use data to identify insights and opportunities, including building MPR packs and improving HR processesWhat you’ll bring Strong HR partnering experience in a complex, fast-paced organisation (typically 8–10 years in similar roles)Confidence influencing and building relationships with leaders at multiple levelsSolid working knowledge across core HR practices (performance, employee relations, talent, learning, reward fundamentals)Comfortable working with HR data and systems (HRIS), with strong attention to detailStrong communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to handle matters with discretion and confidentialityWhat will help you succeedFMCG or similarly complex matrix environment experienceExposure to partnering with dispersed teams and/or multi-site organisationsWorkday experience (or similar HRIS)Knowledge of New Zealand employment legislationTertiary qualification in HR (or related discipline)What we offerA meaningful opportunity to make impact quickly in a senior HR partnering roleExposure across ANZ Corporate and Commercial stakeholdersSupport from an established HR team and specialist COEsFlexible working arrangements in line with role and business needsIf you think you are up for the challenge that this role offers, then don’t hesitate to apply NOW!
