The company was founded by Pasquale Rotella and has been based in Los Angeles since it was formed in 1993.THE ROLEThe Facilities Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations, people leadership, and administrative and financial management of facilities at HQ, with defined oversight responsibilities for additional Southern California locations. This role serves as the operational backbone of the Facilities function, ensuring facilities are safe, functional, well-maintained, and financially controlled while enabling Facilities leadership to operate at a more strategic level.This role reports to the Director, Facilities and partners closely with Human Resources, Finance, Security, Enterprise IT, and internal stakeholders. This is not a remote position.RESPONSIBILITIES Facilities Operations & ReadinessOwn daily facilities operations at HQ, ensuring workspaces, conference rooms, common areas, and building systems are clean, functional, and safeProvide facilities oversight and support for additional Southern California locations, including management of on-site Facilities Coordinators, while maintaining primary ownership of HQ operationsConduct regular site walks to proactively identify maintenance needs, safety risks, and improvement opportunitiesIndependently troubleshoot and resolve minor facilities issues, escalating to vendors or leadership when appropriateCoordinate preventative and reactive maintenance across building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, janitorial, security, landscaping, and roofingSupport facilities readiness for meetings, activations, and HQ-based events through space setup and logistical coordinationPeople Leadership & Team ManagementServe as the direct people manager for all Facilities staff, including Facilities Coordinators across HQ and Southern California locationsProvide day-to-day leadership, direction, scheduling oversight, and workload prioritizationSet clear expectations and ensure accountability for performance, attendance, and quality of workDeliver ongoing coaching and feedback, addressing performance issues promptly and effectivelyOperate as a trusted people leader capable of managing team dynamics and operational challenges independentlyBudget, Administration & Financial ManagementOwn facilities billing, invoicing, expense reconciliation, and budget tracking and adherenceReview vendor invoices for accuracy, question discrepancies, and push back on inappropriate or inconsistent chargesMaintain accurate, real-time tracking of facilities operating expenses (OPEX) using Excel and other toolsProvide regular budget updates, variance analysis, and reporting to Facilities leadership to support forecasting and Finance discussionsSupport planning and execution of capital projects (CAPEX) in partnership with Facilities leadership and FinanceExercise sound judgment in balancing cost, safety, and operational impact when making facilities-related decisionsVendors, Compliance & PlanningSource, onboard, and manage facilities vendors; monitor service quality, responsiveness, and contract adherenceMaintain building permits and ensure compliance with local building codes, safety regulations, and inspection requirementsForecast maintenance and repair needs based on seasonal and operational trendsPlan and schedule maintenance activities to minimize disruption to business operationsMaintain organized documentation related to vendors, permits, inspections, and facilities processesStay current on facilities best practices, operational standards, and safety requirementsCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Security to support safe and compliant facilities operationsCoordinate with Enterprise IT on facilities-related needs such as access, space readiness, and equipment logisticsPartner with HR on facilities-related aspects of the employee experience, including seating arrangements, workspace planning, and office readiness to support employee needs.Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support a positive and efficient workplace environmentQUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field or equivalent practical experience4+ years of experience in facilities management, workplace operations, or a related field2+ years of people management experience, including leading and developing teams and managing day-to-day operationsProven ability to lead with professionalism and composure under pressureStrong communication skills across all levels of the organizationStrong working knowledge of building systems, vendor management, and facilities operationsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentProven ability to operate independently, exercise sound judgment, and make practical, timely decisionsWORK ENVIRONMENTMust be willing to travel to work during holidays, evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels and drastic temperature climates while working on site at various event location Must be able to work in open concept office spaceMust be able to list up to 50 poundsAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsComfortable accessing rooftops, mechanical rooms, etc.Applicants for employment in the U.S. must possess work authorization, which does not require sponsorship by Insomniac for a visa.EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY We aspire to build teams that reflect and support the fans and artists we serve.
