Job Summary:Position Title: Security OfficerDepartment: Music Hall Reports To: Music Hall Director FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Job Summary:Greet, bid farewell and thank every guestOffer information to guests regarding entertainment schedules, specials, hours of operation, menu etc.Operate lifts for guests requiring assistanceRespond to guest inquiries and requestsEssential Functions:Ensure guest safetyPrevent and resolve altercations among guestsDeal with disruptive guests and, if necessary, see that they leave the premisesLead guests and other employees in emergency evacuation procedures and provide assistanceMaintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through your work area throughout shiftCheck identification of all guests who do not appear to be of legal drinking age (must have ID books from all states)Prevent guests without proper identification from entering the premisesEnforce House policy regarding photos/videos/recording devicesSafeguard against theftCommunicate with artists regarding needs and/or requestsProtect the privacy of artistsEnsure the proper maintenance of stanchions and barriers, including the lifting/moving of stanchions and barriers up to 150 lbs.Assist with Private and Special EventsMaintain necessary communications with all departmentsCommunicate with radios (all door staff and management should remain in constant contact throughout shift)Job Qualifications: Required:Ability to work late hoursMust be a team playerUnderstand guest serviceMust be 21 years of age or olderMust be able to obtain an alcohol awareness cardMust obtain NV Gaming Control Board RegistrationPreferred:Previous experience in security or crowd controlExperience in customer service in a face to face environment.Physical Demands / Working Environment:Working environment is very fast-pacedMay require standing for extended periods of timeMay require light lifting / moving of items from time to time
