Job Description

Group Product and Pricing Senior Manager is responsible for the end-to-end product development, pricing and ongoing profitability management of the group life business. The team partners closely with Corporate Solutions and Alternative Distribution team to ensure sustainable and competitive offerings for corporate clients.The position is primarily accountable for pricing of group / corporate accounts (both new business and renewals), and development, pricing and implementation of group / corporate product solutions. The role ensures that pricing is technically sound, aligned with risk appetite and regulatory requirements, and supports the company’s growth and profitability objectives.The Group Product and Pricing Senior Manager will report to the Head of Pricing / Pricing Officer.Position Responsibilities: The responsibility of the product implementation manager includes the following:Group / Corporate Accounts PricingPerform end-to-end pricing of group / corporate accounts (new business and renewals), including rate development, benefit review, and case-specific adjustments.Analyze experience data (claims, demographics) to derive appropriate pricing assumptions and recommendations.Product Proposition, Pricing and DevelopmentLead product proposition and implementation for group / corporate solutions, including managing new product development and product requests from concept through launch.Design new group / corporate product solutions and enhancements to existing products, ensuring alignment with market needs, internal strategy, and regulatory requirements.Manage the end-to-end product development process (from conceptualization, benefit design, pricing, profitability assessment, approvals, documentation, to launch and post-launch review.Ensure product pricing and launch follow required internal and external standards, including governance, risk, compliance, and actuarial standards.Develop and maintain pricing models and tools (ie excel pricing template) to support product and account pricing.GovernanceEnsure that the pricing work complies with local regulatory requirements, internal (local, regional and corporate) policies, and actuarial standards of practice.Support internal reviews and audits as required.Ad Hoc ProjectsLead or support ad hoc projects as required, which may include operations-related initiatives, in-force portfolio management projects, product remediation or repricing exercises, process improvement, and data/analytics-related projects.Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., Operations, Distribution, Finance, Risk, Compliance) to ensure successful delivery of these initiatives. Individual and Shared Accountabilities:Price and assess group / corporate accounts and ensure recommendations are aligned with profitability and risk targets.Development, pricing and implementation of group / corporate product solutions.Develop and maintain pricing models, tools and documentation for group products and accounts.Ensure that pricing work complies with relevant standards and requirements.Support cross-functional projects and initiatives related to group / corporate solutions, including product launches and strategic reviews. Required Qualifications:Knowledge:Strong understanding of life and health insurance, particularly group / corporate solutions.Working knowledge of actuarial pricing techniques and concepts (ie claim cost development, credibility, experience rating).Familiarity with local insurance market, products, and regulatory environment.Skills and Competencies:Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to work with large and complex data sets.Education:University degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field.At least an Associate of the Actuarial Society of the Philippines (AASP)At least an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA)Relevant actuarial experience in life/health insurance, preferably with focus on group / corporate solutions.MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Strong organizational and time management skills; able to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.When you join our team:We’ll empower you to learn and grow the career you want.We’ll recognize and support you in a flexible environment where well-being and inclusion are more than just words.As part of our global team, we’ll support you in shaping the future you want to see.About Manulife and John HancockManulife Financial Corporation is a leading international financial services provider, helping people make their decisions easier and lives better.
