As a Consultant on the Private Equity team at Marsh McLennan Agency will be relied upon for insight and broad knowledge of health and welfare plans. The successful candidate will have passion around developing relationships with clients and colleagues alike, along with strong industry experience with the ability to fully understand clients’ benefit programs, identify gaps in coverage, listen and confidently advise clients on appropriate solutions enabling them to achieve their long-term strategy. Our not-so-secret sauce.Bring deep knowledge of health and welfare consulting to our Private Equity-owned clientsServe as a go-to resource for Associate Consultants and other team membersBuild and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with vendor and carrier partnersLead carrier negotiations when needed, aligning to client goalsCommunicate in a way that builds trust with stakeholders at all levels of the client organizationOwn day-to-day client relationships and lead and contribute to internal initiatives that improve how we serve clientsSupport, coach, and provide direction to Associate ConsultantsCoordinate, develop, and execute project plans, including periodic presentations for specific client groupsDevelop and manage short- and long-term benefits strategies, strengthening client relationshipsParticipate in the RFP process from planning through evaluation and recommendationsManage renewal and implementation processes, helping ensure a smooth experience for clientsAnalyze benchmark/survey data for client plans; summarize, validate, and translate insights into clear recommendationsUnderstand key underwriting and pricing levers across lines of coverageManage post-implementation activities across lines of coverage to confirm solutions are working as intendedTravel to client sites up to 20% of the time, with advance notice whenever possibleOur future colleague.We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:Bachelor’s Degree, Masters preferred10+ years in insurance industry experience with a thorough understanding of all benefit plans (medical, dental, life, STD, LTD, etc) design, rate structures, funding alternatives and compliance requirements.Excellent communication and presentation skills with advanced writing skills.Proficient in all areas of Health & Welfare compliance (i.e. HIPAA, FMLA, COBRA, 5500, DOL, etc).CEBS Certification or other industry recognized designations preferred.Life Accident & Health Licensure or commitment to achieving within 3 months of start date.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite programsAbility to work effectively and collaboratively with all levels of internal staff & management, external clients, prospects and vendors.Shared commitment to company values; Integrity, Collaboration Passion, Innovation, AccountabilityWe know there are excellent candidates who might not check all of these boxes. Marsh McLennan and its affiliates are EOE Minority/Female/Disability/Vet/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity employers.The applicable base salary range for this role is $92,400 to $172,100.The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.We are excited to offer a competitive total rewards package which includes health and welfare benefits, tuition assistance, 401K savings and other retirement programs as well as employee assistance programs.
