Company:Marsh McLennan AgencyDescription:Position Summary:Work remotely in the Denver area alongside a team of twenty-three of which six are based in Colorado, one in North Carolina, and 16 based in Oregon for our property and casualty insurance program, which comprises over 2,500 public entities (fire departments, libraries, park & recreation, water treatment, hospitals) across the state of Colorado, administered by McGriff. Specifically, you will be responsible for providing extensive education and support to our members and brokers, helping them understand and navigate our program’s coverages, advantages over competitors, and risk management services. This role consists heavily of in-person meetings with members, brokers, and prospects as well as participating at various local and national conferences related to our industry. We depend on this role to assist current members in our renewal process and prospects in the application process.The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial insurance, consulting, and risk management background. This role operates as a liaison between our organization and our membership, which requires a desire to learn our unique coverage forms and the wide array of risk management software available to members.Position Specifics:We are looking for an individual who is adaptable, ready to listen, collaborative, a team player, and able to absorb feedback into their work. Designations such as CIC, CPCU, ARM, and CRM are desirable. You must be exceedingly detail oriented, possess a passion for client service, and be committed to learning as much as you can about our business and our clients. Position requires ability to travel 50% of your time annually to attend in-person meetings.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in the commercial insurance field.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 programsHigh level of organization, time management skills, multi-tasking, and understanding and practice of professional standardsExceptional writing and editing ability, with a strong attention to detailIndustry specific designations such as CPCU, CIC, CRM, ARM are a plusAbility to travel 20,000 auto miles with 21 overnight stays annually to attend in-person meetingsP&C License (with Accident and Health license a plus)Experience with creating detailed coverage comparisons and summary of coverage displaysConfidence with public speaking on insurance coverage and services conceptsFamiliarity with public entity operations a plusSales experience a plusDuties include but are not limited to:Broker and Vendor RelationsParticipate in regional seminars, workshops, and conferencesTimely communication with association, membership, and other Pool administratorsProvide management reports and analysis to association, members, and other Pool administratorsParticipate in annual educational strategic planning seminarWork with brokers to explain Pool philosophy, coverage, programs, and servicesMember ServicesReview and explain coverage concepts and risk management programs to district Board members, managers, and staffAssist members with online renewal values and exposuresCommunicate our long-term risk partnership solutionsWork with team to deliver timely automated stewardship reports to 200 of our members annuallyVisit 40 members annually to understand their operations, review their exposures, and recommend how our risk management services can help lower their “total cost of risk”Work with and identify members who are receiving quotes from competitors to better understand the value of differentiators such as coverage and value-added loss control servicesMeet with 12 prospective members annually to show the coverage and loss control benefits of an Alternate Risk Financing Pool and educate them on reasons to joinRisk ManagementDiscuss loss prevention needs with members and coordinate services with safety consultant teammatesFacilitate Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) implementationFacilitate ERM discussions with membersReview risk evaluations with membersHelp members understand and utilize available risk management programs and servicesCoverageAssist Claims Advocacy Manager and P&L Operations Director evaluate coverage-related questions on TPA claim question when solicitedBe a coverage advocate for brokers and members as appropriateWork with team members to update various coverage documents to ensure the Pool’s terms, conditions and exclusions are maintained to meet competitors’ coverage offeringsMarketing and Member CommunicationsDevelop membership communication strategies to build member loyaltyAssist in compilation of newsletter articles to help facilitate the Pool’s missionIdentify members that champion our program and assist in promoting their story to membershipIdentify criteria for improving membership cross-selling and purchase of increased limits as appropriateAttend members’ association conferences to demonstrate support for each entity type the Pool representsPrepare and present detailed coverage comparisons for prospect proposalsContribute appropriate content information to company websitesPeriodically review marketing materials for proper content, ease of navigation, look, and feelAbout McGriff:Nationally, McGriff, a Marsh & McLennan Agency LLC Company (McGriff/Marsh MMA) is a leader in the insurance consulting industry. We are looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, knowledgeable self-starter for this senior level Account Manager/Member Services position with our Alternative Risk Services Group, which is serviced from our Lake Oswego Oregon office. You will be helping us build loyalty with our members, maintain organization, and assist with coordinating communication programs and services for our clients. McGriff/Marsh MMA is a growing company, which has expanded rapidly in Oregon over the past 18 years. We have a competitive benefit package and salary scale with a bonus plan and are an Equal Opportunity Employer.The applicable base salary range for this role is $64,700 to $120,400.The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
