This is an existing vacancy.Your Team, Your ImpactThe Optics team builds highly integrated component platforms with high speed Silicon photonics, transmit and receive amplifiers, controller ASIC’s with Marvell DSP’s. These components are made operational with a highly functional embedded firmware. The team is responsible for design, verification, and validation of these integrated high speed optical components. The team performs system level testing under various operating conditions, and validates the performance of the hardware, firmware and control loops. An engineer in this team will be involved in a full product lifecycle and will carry new products from inception all the way to NPI.What You Can ExpectUnderstanding the requirements of the productPhotonics device modeling using commercial photonics simulation toolsWork with the team on validation and data analysisWorking with design automation EDA software for product developmentWhat We're Looking ForExcellent Design and Development experience, pursuing an MS/Ph.D in EE/Photoics and good verbal and written communication skillsGood understanding of photonic device and semiconductor physics, with experience working on component design, modeling, and RF validationExperience with industry standard photonics simulation toolsExperience with the standard Si/CMOS/MEMS process technologies required for fabrication and integration of electrical and optical devicesExpected Base Pay Range (CAD)32 - 43, $ per hour.Additional Compensation and Benefit ElementsWith competitive compensation and great benefits, you will enjoy our workstyle within an environment of shared collaboration, transparency, and inclusivity.
