As a Dry Etch Principal Process Development Engineer, you will advance and improve plasma dry etch processes for the forthcoming generation of Micron's memory parts. You will guide ideas from conception, through process development, all the way to integration in our production facilities.You will work in a highly collaborative atmosphere and interact with groups like process integration, electrical failure analysis, yield improvement, manufacturing, and equipment engineers. Your goal is to ensure robust etch processes that meet Micron's challenging physical and electrical requirements. You will grow into an expert engineer and lead dry etch technology roadmaps, directly influencing Micron’s global leadership in semiconductor manufacturing.Responsibilities:Develop and refine dry etch processes for advanced DRAM structuresCollaborate with process integration and other process development teams to develop innovative new solutionsPerform root cause and failure mode analysis on process and hardware limitationsDesign experiments and analyze data to improve capability and yieldSupport process transfer from development to manufacturingMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, materials science, or a similar fieldMust have at least 7 years of experience in dry etch process development or related areaStrong understanding of plasma etch fundamentals and reactor operationExperience with experimental design, data analysis, and problem solvingAbility to work across teams and communicate technical results clearlyPreferred Qualifications:Master’s or PhD in engineering, materials science, physics, or a related areaExperience in semiconductor processing and advanced DRAM or 3D device structuresExperience in managing vendor relationships and driving vendors for solutionsExperience working with cross-functional engineering teamsFamiliarity with yield improvement, SPC, or process transfer to manufacturingAs a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
