The team partners across engineering, operations, procurement, and external suppliers to design, build, and deploy innovative hardware platforms that enable reliable testing and validation of semiconductor devices.Join the team building semiconductor memory test platforms for tomorrow’s AI infrastructure.Position OverviewAs an Electrical Design Engineer, you will design and develop electronic hardware used in advanced semiconductor test systems. You will apply electrical engineering principles to create analog, digital, and mixed-signal solutions that support manufacturing and product development. This role spans the full hardware development lifecycle, from concept and design through validation, deployment, and sustaining support. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams around the world to deliver reliable, high-quality test solutions.ResponsibilitiesDesign analog, digital, and mixed-signal electronic circuits from concept through implementation and validationEvaluate and select electronic components to meet system performance, reliability, and cost objectivesDevelop schematics and collaborate with PCB designers to create optimized board layoutsPerform circuit simulation, analysis, and design verification using industry-standard toolsDebug, test, and validate PCB assemblies using laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and electronic loadsCreate and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, design documents, test plans, and validation reportsDevelop scripts and automation solutions to improve design efficiency, data analysis, and engineering workflowsSupport prototype deployment, customer validation activities, issue resolution, and design enhancementsMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field.Experience using PCB schematic capture and electronic design automation (EDA) tools such as Siemens Xpedition, Cadence OrCAD, KiCad, or similar platformsExperience using circuit simulation tools such as LTspice, PSpice, or comparable applicationsExperience operating laboratory test equipment, including digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and electronic loadsPreferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in electrical engineering or a related technical fieldExperience designing mixed-signal systems for test, manufacturing, or semiconductor applicationsExperience supporting products through prototype development, deployment, and sustaining engineering activitiesProgramming or scripting experience for design automation, test automation, or data analysisFamiliarity with AI tools and large language model (LLM) prompting techniques to improve engineering productivity and workflowsAs a world leader in the semiconductor industry, Micron is dedicated to your personal wellbeing and professional growth.
