Because doing so can fuel the very innovation we are pursuing.Sr Risk Analyst I Role OverviewMicron Technology is seeking a Risk Analyst to support the company’s global Risk Management function. This role contributes to the administration, analysis, and continuous improvement of corporate insurance programs and enterprise risk management activities. The Risk Analyst works cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and external partners to identify, analyze, and monitor risks while supporting cost-effective risk transfer and mitigation strategies.Key ResponsibilitiesInsurance Program OperationsSupport corporate insurance programs through underwriting data compilation, insurer applications, and policy renewalsAssist with insurance coverage placement activities and respond to insurer inquiriesMaintain accurate insurance records, policy registers, and program documentationProvide technical consultation to internal stakeholders and external partnersClaims & Loss ManagementSupport workers’ compensation and casualty insurance claims administrationGather and manage loss documentation to evaluate potential financial recoveryLiaise with insurance adjusters and coordinate with third-party consultantsTrack claims activity and identify loss trendsRisk Identification & AnalysisIdentify property and casualty risks through insurer questionnaires and applicationsAnalyze risk information and support development, implementation, and monitoring of risk management practicesGather, analyze, and report risk-related data from internal and external sourcesIdentify and track key and emerging risksFinancial & Budget SupportMaintain risk management information systems including claims databases, policy registers, and compliance matricesSupport quarterly insurance budgeting, cost allocation, and reconciliation activitiesCoordinate with Finance on insurance allocation methodologies and reportingProcess insurance-related invoices using established business processesCross-Functional CollaborationWork with internal departments to establish, implement, and monitor risk mitigation programsCommunicate insurance budget changes and cost impacts to Finance and site stakeholdersParticipate in Risk Management and cross-functional meetingsSupport continuous improvement initiatives across risk programsIntegrates AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, or effectiveness, exercising sound judgment and complying with organizational standards and legal requirements.​Contributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.​QualificationsRequiredExperience supporting risk management, insurance, or related analytical functionsAbility to analyze risk-related data and support decision-makingExperience coordinating with internal stakeholders and external partnersStrong organizational and documentation skillsAbility to apply baseline digital fluency and role‑appropriate AI literacy to use AI‑enabled tools responsibly and effectively for research, analysis, content creation, problem‑solving, operational tasks, and achieving business outcomes.​Multi-regional/multi-national construction insurance experience.Insurance experience in Taiwan, India, and China.Experience with on-site Loss Adjusters for construction and operational insurance programs.Experience with casualty and Worker’s Compensation claims.EducationBachelor's degree in Engineering, Risk Management, or equivalentAbout Micron Technology, Inc.We are an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions transforming how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
