Because doing so can fuel the very innovation we are pursuing.Main ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Procure‑to‑Pay ManagementManage end‑to‑end procurement activities for Capital, Spares, and Services.Execute and manage Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) processes including delivery follow‑up, budgeting support, cash flow management, and invoice reconciliation.Ensure on‑time delivery (OTD) to support network capacity and operational requirements.Supplier Relationship ManagementAct as the primary commercial point of contact for assigned site and network suppliers.Perform supplier commercial qualification to support the development of strategic suppliers.Maintain collaborative supplier relationships while proactively addressing performance, quality, delivery, and capability gaps.Ensure supplier compliance with Micron’s Code of Conduct and corporate social responsibility standards.Communicate supplier performance updates and key decisions to stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.Represent the voice of the supply base internally and the voice of Micron externally.Localization & Supply Chain ResilienceDrive execution of service and spares localization strategies to improve equipment uptime, response time, cost competitiveness, and supply chain resilience.Enable supplier capability development through localization and in‑country support initiatives.Cost Optimization & Value CreationIdentify and implement supplier‑related cost‑saving opportunities using data analytics and should‑cost models.Serve as a subject matter expert, sharing supplier and market insights with cross‑functional stakeholders.Support initiatives focused on total cost of ownership reduction, lead time improvement, and cash flow optimization.Contracting & NegotiationLead or participate in supplier negotiations for sustaining purchases, contract renewals, and extensions.Coordinate with Category Supplier Managers on global negotiations or lead local/regional RFQ and sourcing events.Develop and execute contract strategies; create, negotiate, monitor, and enforce contractual terms and conditions.Supplier Performance ManagementPartner with Category teams to build a comprehensive, data‑driven view of supplier performance.Communicate site‑specific priorities and expectations to suppliers.Collaborate internally to define key performance metrics and monitor supplier performance to drive continuous improvement.AI‑Enabled Continuous ImprovementLead or contribute to automation and AI‑enabled initiatives that improve process efficiency, productivity, and operational excellence.Drive simplification and standardization of procurement and supplier management processes.Other ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with company policies, procedures, and governance requirements.Provide input and recommendations to leadership on procurement strategies, processes, and policy improvements.Actively participate in cross‑functional teams and global projects involving Procurement, Engineering, Planning, Finance, and Legal.Candidate Profile / Job RequirementsMinimum Required QualificationsBachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in: EngineeringSupply Chain ManagementOr a related field of studyMinimum 7 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: Procurement / PurchasingSupply ChainEngineeringMust‑Have Technical SkillsStrong knowledge of procurement, sourcing, and supplier management processes.Experience managing contracts, negotiations, and commercial terms.Data‑driven cost analysis and should‑cost modeling experience.Familiarity with Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) processes and financial controls.Must‑Have Soft SkillsStrong analytical and problem‑solving skills.Effective communication and stakeholder influencing skills in a matrix organization.Ability to lead initiatives and drive outcomes without direct authority.Strong collaboration and relationship‑management capabilities.Ability to work independently and within global, cross‑functional teams.Strong written communication and storytelling skills, with experience preparing executive summaries and clear, concise reports for senior stakeholders.Highly Desirable / PreferredExperience in managing greenfield startups in semiconductor manufacturing or high‑technology environmentsExposure to automation, AI, ML‑driven analytics, process mining, or workflow orchestration.Demonstrated experience driving continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.Values AlignmentEmbodies Micron’s core values: People – Respect, develop, and empower othersInnovation – Drive continuous improvement and breakthrough thinkingTenacity – Demonstrate resilience and determinationCollaboration – Build trust and foster teamworkCustomer Focus – Deliver excellence and valueAbout Micron Technology, Inc.We are an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions transforming how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
