Because doing so can fuel the very innovation we are pursuing.As a Senior HBM Customer Systems Validation Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will:Be responsible for system-level validation, failure analysis, characterization, and experimentation of customer systemsRun and configure diagnostic software, design experiments, analyze and interpret data, creating custom tools (Hardware and Software), presenting data to customers both inside and outside MicronProvide technical customer integration support at customer locations. To accomplish these responsibilities, you will use a variety of equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, multi-meters, etc.)Work with customers and memory enablers like GPU manufacturers to attain design wins and qualifications of Micron memory products in their applicationsYou will work with other engineers within the HBM team, Product Engineering, FAE, Quality Assurance, and business unit teamsDebug Micron Product Customer FailuresProvide technical support to customers and the field salesUtilize diagnostics to reproduce the original failureIdentify failure mechanismCollaborate with Product Engineering and Return Material Authorization (RMA)Provide 8D or failure documentation for customer failure resolutionImplement fixes for fails (design or process)Design and Implement Micron System ToolsCreate test scripts for a variety of applicationsCreate and modify hardware that controls test parameters (i.e. temperature or voltage)Support internal customer diagnostics software and hardware tools within Micron labsInterface with external customer to create intelligent DOE (design of experiments)Perform System CharacterizationUse software, Internal logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other tools to understand system memory usageDevelop software to interpret dataCollaborating with Product and Application EngineeringCommunicating results with cross-functional teams and customersSuccessful candidates will have, but not limited to:A Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or an equivalent field) with >4 years of experience or >3 years of experience respectively, both requiring a balanced hardware and software skill set.Experience working and programming with Linux, Python/C/C++, version control systems (git, svn)Excellent problem-solving and analytical skillsWorks well in a team environmentGood communication, data analytics and presentation skillsBasic understanding of DRAM operations and computer networkingSelf-motivation and passionSuccessful candidates suggested to have but not required:Experience in bios/linux driver development/debugUnderstanding of system architecture and memory subsystemComfortable working with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzer, protocol analyzers, soldering equipment, etcPrevious experience validating products with both hardware/firmware/software componentsContributes to a culture of continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within one’s scope of work.About Micron Technology, Inc.We are an industry leader in innovative memory and storage solutions transforming how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
